Evans, Charleson, Monahan, FYoung. I'm effectively counting them as contracted for next year now, even if we haven't got official notification.Frank's situation is a weird one. There were a few articles on AFL.COM.AU that suggested we had given him another year, but there has been no official announcement on our webpage or social media accounts.
Sign him up already!
For a skinny kpd ranked 8-10 in a weak draft, slot in is being expected of Dean around here…Outside of the 2 irish guys who on our list is going to be no chance to play AFL next season?
Pretty much nobody. Ison maybe. The other draftee TBC.
But Dean plays from round 1 I would think.
This is depth I've never seen before. Doesn't guarantee anything but at least we've got a fairly AFL ready list.
I think he's the most solid KPD prospect I have seen in a draft since maybe Weitering. For a skinny kpd ranked 8-10 in a weak draft, slot in is being expected of Dean around here…
That’s fine. But playing from round 1 is a somewhat different story. Weits was pick 1, and coming into a terrible side.I think he's the most solid KPD prospect I have seen in a draft since maybe Weitering.
Struggling to think of a player taken since who I felt so sure would be a 200 game key defender

Gee I'd like to think we arent too far away from no draft picks playing round 1That’s fine. But playing from round 1 is a somewhat different story. Weits was pick 1, and coming into a terrible side.
18 year old Dovaston pushing Frankie out would be quite an achievement considering his explosive late season form.If Twomeys mail of us being keen on Dovaston is correct, we could be lining up something like this across 2026. Definitely not a rebuilding side with a very good senior group still there to support the kids. I'd suspect a 10th-6th place finish.
If we then have another strong off season in 2026 adding Cody + a free agent or two we could be back playing deep into finals sooner than we think.
Lachie Cowan - Jacob Weitering - Harry Dean
Ollie Florent - Nick Haynes - Nic Newman
Sam Walsh - Patrick Cripps - Campbell Chesser
Marc Pittonet - Jagga Smith - George Hewett
Ben Ainsworth - Harry McKay - Elijah Hollands
Ashton Moir - Hudson O'Keefe - Will Hayward
Adam Cerra - Zac Williams - Lachie Dovaston - Ollie Hollands - Adam Saad
Really do hope Elijah can have a big pre season and earn that one last chance with the club. His ball use is the best we have on the list imo.
Kemp and Cotters stiff to miss out but it's purely a matter of hypotheticals this far out.
what did he say? Can’t ****ing believe Duursma said that in his radio interview today on SEN.
Harry Dean #1 pick I'm guessing.what did he say?
I listened to it but cant recall anything contreversial, but I was a bit zzzz
Dean at #1 if he was pickingwhat did he say?

It's kind of good and bad to hear isn't it? Like it's nice to know other players rate him so highly, but can they kindly shut the **** up about it from now until the draft?Dean at #1 if he was picking

HOF is not on the Inactive List so only the rookie list spot will be there post drafts. That is almost a third of the starting 22 weren't at the club last season.
I agree. Elijah just needs the motivation which it sounds like he has now rediscovered.
if he can get his s together and complete preseason he's walks into our best 22.
By the sound of it both he and WW will be retained as rookies. One will take the last rookie list spot and the other takes the HOF spot no?
No idea but if teams are planning on screwing us with F/S bids then the gloves should well and truly be off. Would walk into our 22 easily.

Slightly different situations id have thoughtDidnt we just spend the trade period getting rid of a guy that didnt want to play at the club? Wouldnt Ah Chee be in this category?![]()
Gov isn’t the problem, he’s actually a weapon if structure & play a free flowing game style.
That is great news
Hopefully noone from the WCE, Richmond, Ess or Melb agree however![]()

That may change by Feb ‘26 SSP cut-off if he falls behind schedule on his recovery but at this stage you’d think they’d be incentivising for a 2026 playing return. Same applies for the MSD cut-off date and any reassessment needed.
No idea, but he got all Incredible Hulk fairly quickly…Do they drug test when players are out injured for over 12 months?
