Nah it's a definite possibility, they are low balling him and he doesn't have much value. Would you consider a swap of Erasmus for Kelly? Only barrier to him coming to Freo is the trade embargo between both clubs. If you back your culture, Tim Kelly with his head screwed on would be nice off the HBF personally. Getting him for basically free in terms of cap and draft capital makes it even easier.
Never going to happen though
Anyone else reckon if we could get tim Kelly next year for minimum wage could be the best thing for us. Blokes obviously hating life playing for the worst team in afl history atm but if he can find some love for the game again and get some standards that Serong and bray told Bolton to get he could big a major upgrade on JOM

With what he has made over the years, he will crying in his 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheetsKelly? Ha, he made his bed, he can continue to cry in it.
WC will resign him anyway if we refuse to grab him and he doesn't want to leave WA. Why rob Freo fans of that joy?Kelly? Ha, he made his bed, he can continue to cry in it.
I suggest he study Nick Larkey's goal kicking routine ad nauseam. I don't expect him to get to that level, but we (Freo) famously had a poor set shot in Chris Mayne develop a solid routine at AFL level for some time, and he's based in WA now. Pretty sure he'd pick up the phone.Well put Lint.
What do think of the prospects for fixing Voss's goal kicking?
Oh yeh we do…
Send him and it back for second ?
Haselby here saying Serong could be worth $2m a season. He’s OOC in 2027, I would say he’ll get astronomical offers from Victoria. We will have to pay a lot to keep him - undoubtedly he’ll become the highest paid docker ever at his next contract.
Fellow ITKs Carnthedockers JammoMonty do we have any more news on Warner?

I keep hearing he’s coming back to WA. Media obviously saying otherwise.Fellow ITKs Carnthedockers JammoMonty do we have any more news on Warner?
Seems hard to believe with his family situationHe wants to head back to the cats.
Has erasmus been tried as a tagger? Does remind me of ryan crowley a bit.I think best case scenario Erasmus becomes a Matt deBoer, Ryan Crowley type. Defensive mid or half forward where he gets little of the ball but shuts down the oppositions best player.
If he can forge a 100 game career in a defensive role from where he's at it's a win.

Serong was / is also the biggest flight risk out of the three Amigos. If we aren't properly contending a big money gap could be the final nail. This is y pickett or starcevich not warner - whilst warner would be amazing, the salary cap space he would take up mKes him less attractive than others - esp with serong to re-sign.
They’ll remain in PerthSeems hard to believe with his family situation
I reckon with Kossie's long term deal and the emergence of Reid and Dudley plus addition of Shai, we should go balls and all for an explosive, line breaking, goal kicking mid like WarnerFellow ITKs Carnthedockers JammoMonty do we have any more news on Warner?
Could it be that a lot of left footers are actually right handed ?I suggest he study Nick Larkey's goal kicking routine ad nauseam. I don't expect him to get to that level, but we (Freo) famously had a poor set shot in Chris Mayne develop a solid routine at AFL level for some time, and he's based in WA now. The fact is, there is a reason left footers are often the best kicks (drizzy excepted) and that is because it's very hard to coach a perfect kicking style for any player and their particular build/mechanics - left footers haven't been overcoached growing up. The best kicks in history, you probably wouldn't have coached them to kick that way (raking lefties often famously have the slight hook style, or sharp dip to the left just before kicking). They just have it.
Having said that you can, like any technique based skill, minimise the gap between your best and worst skill execution through the right reps.
There is the added mental component in-game, that comes from the pressure of 100,000+ people watching you attempt the skill repetition live, in an often high stakes match situation, with live instant feedback/assessment. In this respect, there is a phrase in high level live performance, in relation to the mental side when attempting to execute under live public scrutiny. "Don't Zoom Out". The more you think of the outside given circumstances, the harder it is to perform at a high level. You need to stay "zoomed in" mentally. It's why guys like Nick Larkey say from the moment he begins the run up in his routine, he thinks of nothing but hitting the ball as sweetly as possible.
If Voss could at least develop to a stage of becoming serviceable by foot, personally I'd consider it a win at this stage. As you can see, there's a fair few moving parts that need to align for that to happen.
Serong for captain would be a massive incentive to stay.Serong was / is also the biggest flight risk out of the three Amigos. If we aren't properly contending a big money gap could be the final nail.
