Watch clubs come for Voss
Seems to have improved his goal kicking
Norf, Dees, saints, all need a second / third tall
I'd like to think he's loyal but a club maybe offer multi years and a ticket home
As much as I love the big fella , if he absolved a reasonable chunk of the trade price for kozzie, you’d do it in heartbeatWatch clubs come for Voss

I thought Whan had played HB prior to this season. Could be where he starts his career.B: Walker, Simpson, Chapman, Clark, Ryan, Pearce, Cox
Depth: Worner, Draper, Davies
M: Brayshaw, Serong, Young, NOD, Erasmus, Wagner , Jackson, Whan, Reid
Depth: Sharp, Banfield, JOM, Darcy, Johnson
F: Bolton, Treacy, Amiss, Dudley, Frederick, Switta, Voss
Depth: Sturt,
This is roughly how I see it for next year. Pickett obviously comes into the forward line if he comes across, otherwise hopefully we can use our first pick before Whan is bid on for a forward.
Another half back would be handy as well, as would another ruck if Darcy leaves.
It would be hard to squeeze Chapman into a wing role, as 1. I think this is where Whan ends up, 2. He has been very good in defense.
Beginning of the season this looked like an easy decision: let OMac go. He'd been pushed out of the backline after all. But his move to the fwd line has at least proven more successful than any of Sydney's key backs turned fwds.I think we are going to have a decision to make on AT LEAST one of Murphy or Davies end of the year, despite contract status. Id be encouraging Murphy to "explore his options"
Not even including Jones, all of Draper, Murphy, Davies, McDonald, Nicholls, Riddle and Reidy outside the 22 is overkill. Reidy will go but we'll need to replace him with actual ruck depth (#bringKnobelback)
Yeah, OMac need to be kept. An experienced KPP who can legitimately play at both ends of the ground and be paid a packet of chips is exactly what we need while properly contending.Beginning of the season this looked like an easy decision: let OMac go. With this as well as others, you wonder whether we make the easy call (which is to let OMac go anyways) or the bold but potentially right call. Speaking of bold but right calls, Odin Jones also belongs on that list of talls. Stiff to be delisted coz you got injured and couldn't prove anything, but the right call.
Murphy can stay another year. It may come down to a decision between OMac and Murphy. If Murphy does get traded (won’t get much for him) then obviously we keep OMac. Murphy looked good on the weekend.I think we are going to have a decision to make on AT LEAST one of Murphy or Davies end of the year, despite contract status. You can add Brodie to that list. I think he should be delisted, and contract paid out.
Reidy needs to lift, I think may be too limited around the ground and we could look for a replacement.
Boyd from St Kilda would be a good get if they get de Koning, and Darcy leaves.
Potentially traded out
Darcy?
Sharp?
Erasmus?
I would keep Sharp as depth for a max of 2 years. (I think he could be out of the 22 next year, or at least under a lot more pressure)
I would only offer Erasmus 2 years well, but explain the role we have planned for him and tell him it is his to loose.
I would also trade out Darcy.
So we’re getting rid of 10 players and over 1,000 games experience?
We’d be battling Richmond as the least experienced team in the league, even if we bring in Pickett (which is sounding unlikely).
I think we need to be aiming to improve our position as one of the least experienced teams in the league and part of that should be keeping some of our experienced fringe players.
Not sure re Fyfey but I reckon Sonny would definitely be thinking he will go on. Imho of course.People saying Walters and Fyfe not on our list next year is a sure thing, you sure about that plenty can happen after the bye ,imo at least one of them stay on next year.
I got a feeling Sonny will step away after this year but will be offered a player development role which i think he will be darn good at.I think Walters might go on. He's not a crash and bash player and has never been that quick. I think he would love to play with Bolton and vice versa. I think it would help lure Pickett as well. Even if it is just for one season, I'm sure Kozzie would look up to Walters and would like to be training and perhaps playing with him.
And if Sonny retires, I would hope we look at giving him a coaching/mentoring role so the above can still happen to a degree. I'd be getting the one and only Wizard down for a few sessions as well. He seemed to like being a part of the club with the gather round celebrations. He's got that Demons-to-Dockers history as well for Pickett to follow.
We would get zero compensation if he left as he was delisted by Essendon he's considered a delisted free agent for the rest of his career. As much as I love the big fella , if he absolved a reasonable chunk of the trade price for kozzie, you’d do it in heartbeat
I wouldn’t fret too much about it happening tho, this is fukn Melbourne we’re talking about .
Ok. I checked you are right.Incorrect. He is an unrestricted free agent when out of contract. Exactly the same as Schultz
Leap much?I dont see why we dont just cool our jets on Kozzie and go all in on Wombat. Get him to the same fitness level and he will do extremely similar things. And we dont have to pay through the nose. And, if it doesn't work out, then we can grab Kozzie when he is out of contract for half the price. Unless of course if he comes out and says he wants the dockers and nothing else. Then we get it done.
I agree. He's already in the media and setting himself up. I do hope he's around the club and coaching our forwards as well.I got a feeling Sonny will step away after this year but will be offered a player development role which i think he will be darn good at.
Riddle was on a one year deal and I cant see him being retained. We have too many long term development talls in my opinion. Reidy too would have to be a certainty to get delisted I agree. We can bring in an elite state level rucks with greater mobility as an SSP or delisted free agent. Eg. Ex Gold Coast ruck Brayden Crossley or even Max KnobelMurphy can stay another year. Let’s replace Reidy with Brynn Teakle. Both Teakle and Riddle Rucks that can play forward.
Jones is goneski.
Draper can play third tall as well as KPD.

Narkle is the other one who could be gone. He was playing very well at WAFL level so if he plays well on return he could stay. Macdonal stays in my view. He's been outstanding for Peel after his return from AFL dutiesc
What may save him is we have so many other players leaving at the end of the year. I would prefer to keep for 1 year over Brodie.
Fyfe, Walters, Aish, Brodie, Jones - all gone
Reidy - probably gone, but replace by another ruck.
Riddle, McDonald, Delean all playing for their career. I had Delean gone, but he may stay if he plays like he did on the weekend a few more times.
Erasmus, Worner, Sharp all should be retained, if they don't want too much cash, accept a 1 or 2 year deal.
