Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Always the concern with SSP selections is that they work really hard to get on the list and then sorta fall off once they get a bit of security. Given a 2 year deal was apparently pretty close as per the AFL, I wonder if we’ve done a games played clause or something.I'd have thought Dudley's performances would have warranted at least 2 years.
Spudshed franchise?Yep,
The 1m for Bolton a year now looking like another bargain. We're on the way to turning into Geelong, I hope we have some farming land lined up and some Dale Alcott house packages.
Pretty sure that the club would provide financial and tax advice.Separate issue here but it’s interesting.
Surely these players aren’t paying all that tax without some serious (legal) tax breaks and offsets and negative gearing etc to bring it down as much as possible?
You’d be finding a financial advisor to go full Kerry Packer on it and absolutely minimise the amount of tax that has to be paid on those massive 7 figure salaries

My former board of management's Chairman was also Chairman at WC and another board member was their accountant.ALFPA does
Riddle seems equipped for the same position as Odin and just got extended. We also drafted NichollsDudley was brought in as a replacement for Odin Jones on the LTI. I assume this means that Jones is delisted at the end of his contract or if his surgery and recovery is going well could Jones be retained on a rookie list?. Does anyone have any info on how his recovery is going?. If he is delisted and makes it back in the WAFL (probably west perth) then if he performs well then he could be a SSP or MSD. He turns 20 in September.
The wording here might be a clue...I'd have thought Dudley's performances would have warranted at least 2 years.
A decision on whether Jones gets another year will be completely independent of the decision to extend Dudley.Dudley was brought in as a replacement for Odin Jones on the LTI. It would be thrilling to add Pickett, but the line up below should be able to get it done:I will be bummed if we miss out on Pickett, but I'm quite happy with how our forward line is progressing at the moment.
Honestly we should at least be glad he's re-signing at a club about to hit the wall big time and not a fellow contender. Cannot fault the bloke for looking after himself, at the end of the day we had our chance to draft him and we blew it. such is life.Good luck to Kozzie. Take the money young man, I cannot fault you for that and you would be doing your family an injustice not to take it.
Viney is broken, Clarry gone, Gawn and May are no spring chickens and well there is Fritsch..
I don't think you can call getting Serong and Young "blowing it"Honestly we should at least be glad he's re-signing at a club about to hit the wall big time and not a fellow contender. You obviously have never met him.I want nothing to do with Warner the bloke drinks his own bathwater. Nothing about him screams team it’s all about him. And quite frankly he’s not that good, kick is horrible he’s selfish and defensively terrible
I will always thank Stephen O'Reilly for that!Luke Jackson is the sort of guy who would accidentally and with honest intentions mention during a press conference that Geelong offered him a farm for free as part of the deal and it brings the whole scam down.
Similar to how a Freo player went to Carlton and their under the table payments were exposed.
Crazy that Kosi will be getting massively overpaid to stop him coming to Freo, how long until their club is bottom 4 and home sickness rumours start up? how long before he is at Freo with half his contract paid by them?
Spudshed franchise?
