I haven't refused to consider it at all... intentional bad faith in your argument here. Foolish, nonsense.

How have I gone "nuts"? It undermines your argument when you try to cast me as mentally inept or crazy (both synonyms of nuts) when you haven't looked at my argument.

Very poor form.

Now do all the times when a player hasn't wanted to move and the journo made it up... like with Sean Darcy. It is important you don't conflate one decent to good journo with all journo's.

Why would they make it up? They get paid based on discussion and clicks. Do you not know how the media works?

I can show you a thousand examples of the media doing this and then not walking it back, or posting an article in direct contradiction to a previous article, without the dignity to acknowledge they were wrong in the first place.

If you don't want to do football related examples we can do business articles, covid related articles or others. Happy to run through hundreds of them with you case by case if you are not ready to acknowledge that journalists have a financial motivation to get clicks.
I said many Richmond fans went nuts. Didn’t say you did - possibly not quite clear in my comment on looking back, apologies for the confusion.

However I did say that you are (based on your comments here) practically refusing to contemplate the idea that Mitch Cleary was correct in his original story that said Jackson wanted to explore a trade back to Melbourne. I think it’s very naive of you to think that.

As for journos making up stories for clicks.
Please don’t compare Brad Hardie to the likes of Mitch Cleary. Cannot take you seriously if you are going down that path. Hardie is not an AFL trade journalist.

I’m happy for you to find me a trade story that Mitch Cleary, Ryan Daniels, Cal Twomey, Damian Barrett have completely fabricated from scratch for clicks? Feel free to find one for me, it won’t exist.

There’s even a second tier of guys I have slightly less faith in as I think they slightly embellish existing truths - Jon Ralph, Tom Morris, Sam McClure.
Even them though - I trust if they have a detailed account of a trade story. They aren’t making it up from scratch.

These people’s livelihood depend on being correct. They are simply NOT making shit up for clicks.

I suspect you are not that familiar with the AFL media. Otherwise you wouldn’t be placing Brad Hardie in the same sentence as Rhino or Cleary.

Whether Jackson does or doesn’t want to go is moot, and I do believe he did and maybe still wants out and there’s a non-zero chance he requests a trade, but he’s contracted for another 5 years and the club has as good as said that we are not trading him without actually saying it.

The only chance of Jackson being traded would have been if we could get Pickett out of it and that door has been shut. Somebody said it, notice how the Jackson rumours have disappeared after Pickett re-signed?

But yeah, Cleary is rarely ever wrong and I wouldn’t be one to question his reporting.

Won’t be a popular post but Corey Wagner is actually in a different league as a footballer to both Neil Erasmus and Matthew Johnson. Despite the fact both of those guys would be earning substantially more than Wagner, he is a superior footballer than both.

He’s a much more decisive player, with great footy smarts, and most importantly of all - makes much better decisions with the ball in hand than either of the other two.

I would guess Wags is earning probably $300k at best - he was a mature aged draftee that was rejected by two other clubs and would have earned minimum chips in 2023 & 2024.
I reckon he’s one of the highest value performers on this list right now relative to his wage.

Erasmus in particular has looked limited enough the last 2 games. If you get pick 30 for him are we better off letting go? Suppose he might not cost that much on his next deal anyway (unlike right now where he’s still on those ridiculous early career top 10 pick wages)
There was a passage of play by the boundary line where Wags stripped the ball from Merrett and left him flat footed and bemused at how he had been beaten. Wagner has improved out of sight with games under his belt. One of the hardest gut runners for four quarters.

It’s his partner that seems to want to return to Victoria.

In life it’s best not to give into women’s wishes or demands. They don’t respect if you for giving in.

She wants to leave WA, then say goodbye.
I just told my wife to make her own cup of tea. I hope this ends well.

Holy shitballs 😳 Wow. Just wow.

You’ve not given into any of my demands. But I don’t respect you.

Thats utterly bizarre or is it click bait and its for charity?

Fremantle midfielder Neil Erasmus is selling several of his player-worn guernseys, including the Peel Thunder one he wore in his Simpson Medal-winning performance last year as his future remains unclear.

Erasmus, 21, is selling several signed guernseys through a third party on a Facebook group with some going for as much as $500 as well as several pairs of boots.

It comes after Channel 7’s Ryan Daniels reported that Erasmus is being targeted by cross-town rivals West Coast, with his contract at the Dockers to expire at the end of the season.

Amongst the collection is the No.19 guernsey Erasmus wore in the Thunder’s 2024 grand final victory over East Perth at Optus Stadium last year.

The midfielder was named best-on-ground in the game and awarded the Simpson Medal after collecting 26 disposals, laying 11 tackles and kicking two second quarter goals in the 33-point win against the Royals.

“It’s been a long year, but it’s been such a good one. It probably hasn’t gone the way I wanted it, but what a way to finish,” Erasmus said after winning the medal.

“It’s sticking to the process and controlling what I can control, and I’m proud of the way I did that this year.”

Erasmus is “taking offers” for the piece of Peel memorabilia that has clearly not been washed by the photos posted.

The Subiaco product has played the past six games for the Dockers, including an impressive outing in the win over Essendon on Thursday night when he recorded a career-high seven clearances as well as 21 touches.

It is believed Erasmus wants to re-sign at the Dockers — who are expected to table a multi-year deal — despite struggling to cement a regular spot in their best 23 after being drafted with pick No.10 in 2021, playing only 31 games.

Erasmus is reported to be at the top of the Eagles’ wish list with Sydney’s Angus Sheldrick and out-of-favour North Melbourne midfielder Will Phillips also on their radar.

Victorian clubs are also believed to be interested in the strong midfielder if he does decide to part ways with the Dockers for more opportunities.

As a Guernsey collector this is not uncommon btw

Someone gets in touch and says you can make a few grand for Guernsey's and then puts them up

First time I've ever seen an article for it lol

Usually can get them signed if you want too
The article gave away that the author is clearly not familiar with guernsey collection.

“Erasmus is “taking offers” for the piece of Peel memorabilia that has clearly not been washed by the photos posted.”

Uh yeah no shit they haven’t been washed, that’s the whole point of buying a match worn. It’s exactly the same as how it ended the game.
