Would anyone be keen for Patrick Cripps being tapped on the shoulder to return to WA?

I know he’s 30, but 2-3 years of contested grunt work surrounded by Serong and Brayshaw would be a top 4 team tbh.

Absolutely. But not at the cost they’d want.
So that probably kills it

. I am sure we can afford him on our salary cap and we can certainly use him in the midfield, but I don't want Freo to be used to help the Blues out.

They can salary dump their captain to Freo for their future first.

Ranging from:

Freo take 100% Cripps' salary: Cripps + Future 1st to Freo
to
Freo take 0% Cripps' salary: Cripps to Freo, 2x future firsts to Carlton

So somewhere in the Cripps + future 2nds for a future first range.

Skill wise he is similar to Ras... but he is much stronger and much faster than Ras and I think he could fit in our midfield well bcs that is exactly what our midfield misses...

The bloke is as cooked as Fyfe. Makes Stewie Dew look fast we need a Warner/butters type of mid that is explosive not a cement truck mid that can’t kick we’ve got 4 of them already

Oscar Allen is more likely to be an assistant coach than playing when West Coast are next competing. Only plenty of good picks change that and pick two is a bloody good start.

Its hilarious reading WC peeps try to say they'd be happy if he stays with a straight face. Just straight up denial which is ridiculous, everyone knows its the best thing for everyone

Yep. He goes alright. On other Allan named players; There was a fair bit of upset here when we drafted Murphy Reid and 'missed out' on Peel Thunder’s Bo Allan.

I was able to watch Bo up close at Peel home games last year and I was never overly impressed with him. He comes across as a ripper bloke, but IMO he was akin to a big bodied version of Connor Blakely. Good inside bull but his disposals by foot were poor. And now at AFL level, I'm not sure if Bo is actually a spud, or just spudding it up because he is surrounded by spuds. He looks lost most of the time. Unsure what to do or where to go and his disposal skills are still lacking. It's early days and admittedly pretty unfair to be critical of him, but he isn't projecting to be the most desirable Allan. Walls was right, he wouldn't have improved our list needs.

I don't buy that. Being a captain of a temporary team isn't a guarantee of AFL greatness. Drafted way back in 2019, Devon isn't exactly lighting up the footy world.

Results are mixed but in a quiet period next week I might be able to run the numbers on that.

Guys like James Aish and Danyle Pearce playing 100 games for Freo may offset the likes of Colin Sylvia, Chris Tarrant, Will Brodie, Adam McPhee, Jack Anthony etc
