If all possibilities were in play I wouldn't think they would be mutually exclusive at all. I wouldn't see Stephenson as someone who costs any club anything to bring in, could be anything, could cause any problems, could be high impact on field for $150,000 a year - could burn out and damage the reputation of the club.

Would almost certainly be a rookie spot so only some of that $150,000 actually falls under the salary cap.
