I created a spreadsheet a few years ago to track this stuff. I've been just plugging in the numbers each year since.Only 3 main list spots with the 2 upgrades, was that including Brodie's main list spot that will go?
Maybe we can get upto ports 24 in the Brodie trade? Obviously multiple picks going away
Think Sturt is the obvious one given his injury.Any candidates for delist and re rookie that won’t get poached?

If you take it on face value
- McVee for a 2nd
- Use Reidy/Brodie and our points to get the first round pick higher
I mean, cerra wasn’t so bad. We could’ve ended up with Paddy Dow
Because of what happened with Schultz, silly!!Yep forgot about him. Really should be a no brainer.
Not sure why Sharp is being upgraded after two years on the list.
Reidy and Pick 48 for Pick 45Maybe two 3rds plus picks from Reidy and Brodie to get a 2nd rounder
I thought we had more list spots than that.
Is keeping a spot open for a train on actually worth it if we're going to put Sturt on the LTI anyway.Fyfe, Walters, Delean, Brodie, Reidy, Narkle, Aish gone.
Draper off Cat B
Sharp to main.
3 main spots
3 rookie spots
2 cat B spots
I Am guessing we will keep 1 lost spot open as a train on player
Keeping our options open for next year I reckon. Not sure why Sharp is being upgraded after two years on the list.
two possible factorsYep forgot about him. Really should be a no brainer.
Not sure why Sharp is being upgraded after two years on the list.
)As a reminder, we have FIVE main list spots open. We will only use 3 and take an additional 2 rookies instead.I thought we had more list spots than that.
Good point. Is keeping a spot open for a train on actually worth it if we're going to put Sturt on the LTI anyway.
Reckon we use one live pick and redraft Sturt in the rookie draft as well as pre-list a SSP like we did for Sharp and Narkle previously.
Cerra 2018Logue and Cerra weren't in the last seven years. Just saying
Cerra 2017 draft and Logue 2016Cerra 2018
Logue 2017
Logue was certainly a bust. Cerra was looking the goods, but the Melbourne boy club was too much
If you listen to him he said with the GF this weekend. I think it was recorded Friday or sat morning. Either way you’re spot on. It was before McVee came out publicly and said he wanted a trade to Fremantle.McVee requested a trade to Freo two days ago.
Reckon this interview was recorded either Sunday or Monday before the McVee news broke.
Don't forget we have two ITKs saying we won't have our FRP!If you take it on face value
- McVee for a 2nd
- Use Reidy/Brodie and our points to get the first round pick higher
Jaren Carr Delist to Rookie. Is keeping a spot open for a train on actually worth it if we're going to put Sturt on the LTI anyway.
Reckon we use one live pick and redraft Sturt in the rookie draft as well as pre-list a SSP like we did for Sharp and Narkle previously.
We can still use SSP if Sturt is on the rookie list.Jaren Carr Delist to Rookie.
Sam Sturt LTI so we can use SSP.
Primary list changes:
Out (6): Fyfe, Delean, Walters, Brodie, Aish, Carr
In (6): Draper (upgraded), Sharp (upgraded), McVee (Trade), First round pick, *second round pick, Toby Whan
Rookie list changes:
Out: Reidy, Jones, Narkle
In: Mature Ruck (first rookie pick), Carr (second rookie pick), Dudley (confirmed)
Rookie Cat-B: two of Tom Phillips, Ryda Luke, Basil Hart
SSP (for Sturt on LTI): mature age player as train on over summer
No disagreement with anyone on this board that McVee will be at Freo next year.If you listen to him he said with the GF this weekend. I think it was recorded Friday or sat morning. Either way you’re spot on. It was before McVee came out publicly and said he wanted a trade to Fremantle.
Also on that subject - he has nominated Fremantle and agreed to a contract offer. So any media rubbish (or even from Pyke himself) is posturing and there will be nothing to it. He will end up at Freo. We have had good dealings with Melbourne in the past so I can’t see any issues. Second round pick with some sort of sweetener.
