We'll never know as the trade to us will happen but perhaps in a world where the trade doesn't happen he decides to re-sign rather than go to West Coast.

Oliver, is younger, would be cheaper from draft picks perspective and I'm sure you could get Melbourne to chuck in a lot salary wise.

They’ve been negotiating a contract extension with him for 18 months. Offered up to a 4 year extension. His meeting with King had him playing as an attacking half back. And still he requested a trade to us. Would be very surprised if there anything left they can do to convince him to change mind. Especially when it’s looking like going full rebuild.

Thing I find most bizarre about this is that Oliver is apparently on $1.4million or thereabouts.
