Every club should have a flight allowance based on KMs travelled. Wouldnt be hard to work out and should be added onto match payments automatically. We've actually had a few concessions lately, I'm not sure we'll be able to get that one over the line any time soon though

If it's paid to all players on the plane at $3 per km it's $180,000 extra a year for our players and about $36,000 for Richmond players who play every game.

I like Oliver but do we really need another midfielder; Serong, Brayshaw, Young, cameo’s from Jackson, Bolton, depth from Erasmus, Johnson, Wagner, Sharp, NOD… the midfield is fine.

Big bodied mid is a hole in our list and a fine midfield doesn’t win you a flag, a great one does.

I don't think people realise just how close it is. Last week I drove from north of Melb to a popular Geelong beach in just under 90 mins. I would be lucky to get from Cockburn to Joondalup in the same time (or unlucky, depending which side of the river you're from)

I get what you are trying to say, but it's actually half an hour from Cockburn to Joondalup outside peak hour, just like I'm sure its more than 90 minutes from Melbourne to this beach in peak hour.

You can actually get all the way to Guilderton in 1:15 from Cockburn. Sure, if for some reason you want to live in Upper Swan after getting traded to Freo it would be a hassel.

All our depth bar Wagner conceivably improve considerably in the next couple of seasons. Address the real problems first, that’s where the 22 improve the most. Dudley, an unfit, 167cm small forward, without elite speed shouldn’t be able to crack our 22, but he did quite easily many times, I like him, but athletically he’s up against it. H

Steele is a very limited player. You'd be buying a disciplined, accountable, chase and tackle but 30 years old big body. A role that really should be possible out of any of our players like O'Meara, Johnson, Erasmus, Banfield, O'Driscoll given it's nearly entirely effort and focus.

Good chance a few things happen regarding Geelong but found it interesting they only delisted two rookies yesterday.

There's a few older blokes that didn't play much this year and/or might be replaced that I'd expect to retire (C.Guthrie, Bews, Stanley) but is there more to it than that?

The improvement can come from our youngsters getting better. Our midfield isn't really that much different when lined up against Brisbane. The main issue is Erasmus and Johnson need to improve, but that's a reasonable thing to expect.
