Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
We’re pretty screwed if we’re replacing a dual AA with a fringe AFL player. He’s not a KPP and may replace Luke Ryan as early as next year. Ryan’s form is declining. He’s a 3rd tall.
By my count, we currently are at:
38 players including Reidy and Brodie.
Rookies: Sharp, Reidy, Voss, Riddle, Dudley (I've moved Draper already to primary list)
Voss can spend 2026 on the rookie list. (2024, 2025 so far)
Sharp can spend 2026 on the rookie list. (2024, 2025 so far)
2026:
32 primary list players
4 rookie list players
+ McVee = 33 primary list
3 to 5 picks in the draft. 2 rookie picks.
Yes.Did Jairong do a bit on the wing in the VFL? Could he do a Curtin type role there? (I know very little of him btw)

Huddo is hoping this happens tooIf we get Jai, The West is ready with a million smart-ass 'Two Serongs...' headlines.
He’s fat. Won’t last much longerWas Ryan really declining this year? He said he got asked to play a more selfless role i.e. give it to Clark more.

According to the Hawks board he played Wing all year, to give him a chance to play. Stuck behind too many in defence. They seem to rate him highly.Did Jairong do a bit on the wing in the VFL? Could he do a Curtin type role there? (I know very little of him btw)

I know this board doesn’t rate Ryan but this is ridiculous
How did the amazing Walters and Fyfe go this year? Even champions decline.
The early signs are there for Ryan. He dropped about 15% across the board in all statistical measures. Another 15% and he’ll be outside the 22.
I haven't read that but if that's the case we can go with 1 draft pick and Whan to get one vacancy and we can if we want go with 5 rookies rather than six to get both.Walls said 3 spots on main list, 3 spots on rookie list.
Cat B is empty I think
This does not include McVee or Serong.

Could we sign Serong as a DFA ?
Hawthorn owe us some generosity after the Meek trade.Serong has gotta be a future 4th type trade right?
I don't think he's counted Will Brodie as bering off our list currently as he still has a contract and needs to be traded. Ive been told we can keep Vossy on the rookie but still pay him more than the 100K rookie payment as that's just the minimum payment. If he signs the new contract we can pay him say 500K in 2026 but only 100K isn't included on the main salary cap and 400K is included. We did something like this with Lachie Shultz.I wonder if we take Whan, unless he slips to the rookie list.
If we could use our two 3rds, compensation for Reidy and Brodie to get a mid 2nd round pick are we better of taking that?
Whan looks to be sliding a lot

PREVIEW: David Walls Trade and Draft update
Ahead of the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, David Walls has provided insight into the Club’s trade and draft planswww.fremantlefc.com.au
Ahead of the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, Fremantle Head of Player Personnel David Walls has provided insight into the Club’s trade and draft plans.
Attention has turned to the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, commencing on Monday 6 October and running for 10 days until concluding on Wednesday 15 October.
Walls discussed a number of different options the Club is considering before the trade period officially begins.
“We’ve got three senior list spots to fill after those retirements (Nat Fyfe, Michael Walters and James Aish) and the delistings (Jack Delean and Odin Jones),” said Head of Player Personnel Walls.
“We’ve upgraded Josh Draper, who moves up to the senior list after being a Category B Rookie, and Jeremy Sharp also moves from the rookie list to the senior list.
“So we have three spots available on the senior list and three rookie spots as well.
He would have to go on the main list if we signed him as a DFA but Im pretty sure we can do what we did with Sharp and sign him as an SSP if Hawthorn don't offer him a contract.Could we sign Serong as a DFA? Similar to Sharp in that there was an offer for him if he wanted to stay but went the delist route instead?
You shouldn't have reminded them. They really aren't smart enough to do it themselves. If we get Jai, The West is ready with a million smart-ass 'Two Serongs...' headlines.
It doesn't matter who is on the rookie list since its the minimum pay that is excluded. There is no advantage in having any particular payer on in. The only advantage is in having 6 or 5 instead of 4.I don't think he's counted Will Brodie as bering off our list currently as he still has a contract and needs to be traded. Wouldn’t $30 per km be more appropriate? If it's paid to all players on the plane at $3 per km it's $180,000 extra a year for our players and about $36,000 for Richmond players who play every game.

Wallsy said we want points and to move up the order.I wonder if we don't take Whan, unless he slips to the rookie list.

You know the headline 'How could something be so Serong be so right' is coming if the brothers both have a good game for Freo. You shouldn't have reminded them. They really aren't smart enough to do it themselves.
Only if hawks delist himCould we sign Serong as a DFA? Similar to Sharp in that there was an offer for him if he wanted to stay but went the delist route instead?
