Im trying to find ways for people to understand what they have supposedly done and why its important that trade is missing something.

The club appears to have given away 33 to WC for free. Like, people need to grasp that trade should not be waived away.

The only way this passes the sniff test is if WCE did actually make a far bigger $$$ offer to Judd and told Melb they'd trade them 23, Melb asked McVee to consider WC and Wallsy didn't want Judd staring at those extra $$$ for too long.

Disgrace as it stands. Why help out to unlock and go back in picks to big come out ahead in overall points

I didn't think we'd take #33 to the draft with the risk of it falling to pick #41 or later and then suddenly it's used to match a bid on Whan and worth the same as pick #133.

But I also want more out of it. Our first dip at the draft was 12, now its 19. Better not miss out on our players.

Nothing wrong with having too much time on one’s hands. It’s better than the alternative where one is too busy and burnt out to be able to send a few messages on a forum

This has been an absolute shitshow from start to finish. I can't believe Cal Twomey put out an announcement saying "this is the agreed trade" and forgot to include a first round pick in it, and didn't update it until an hour later

Points? Is this a serious argument?

The point is to build a team to try to win a flag. It is not to try to end up with more points at the end of trade period. Maybe we should check if the teams with the most points win the flag every year, or x years later?

The only objective measure of a trade would be retrospective, years after when the careers of the players involved are done and dusted.

The only question is, are we closer or further away than we were prior to the trade? Clearly the club (and I) think we are closer.
