Think blues ended up overpaying for him tbhAs in you rate Ainsworth or that the Blues must have have cap space so copping his salary if it costs nothing at the trade table is fair play?
I feel like he's one of those 'young' players on a decent trajectory, but now he's somehow 28.
Looks like they are dumping out of this draft too
Good for port I reckon
Turned 29 into F2 and durdin
IF Sydney need to find currency for Curnow.
Would we just plonk 3x1sts on the table for Chad Warner? Possibly get some stuff back, but would we? Should we??

I’m with you on this. Can’t believe we facilitated this when we get nothing back from it and actually lose out…why?Im trying hard to leave it alone but people still seem to just completely miss the point and keep bringing it up.
Start the car stuff for PortHmmm, so it appears possible to turn picks in the 2nd round into decent future picks. What a shocking development
Of course we should. But it is not nearly enough for Warner.
Freo would have to be treated as a top 4 lock and possible premier, and those picks would be projected to be something like 25 + 25 + 30. I said it was garbage for Curnow, and it's garbage for Warner.
And why would Curnow want to go to Sydney if it means they've lost one of their best players? Likewise for Sydney ... they want Curnow to contend, and losing Warner defeats the purpose of that.
Yeah unless there is more to this deal, it just further shows we got absolutely ****edHmmm, so it appears possible to turn picks in the 2nd round into decent future picks. What a shocking development
29 into a future secondHmmm, so it appears possible to turn picks in the 2nd round into decent future picks. What a shocking development

Looking at the trade it's a salary dump type of deal for sure.Defs a salary dump
He signed a contract last year when he was a free agent, GC getting Trac in and would be stoked to get Ainsworth off the books now
Soooo if Im looking at this correctly, Port got involved in a deal between two other clubs and made out like bandits...Looking at the trade it's a salary dump type of deal for sure.
In normal circumstances Ainsworth and Durdin don't have anywhere near the same value.
Apart from the trading in Corey Durdin part..Soooo if Im looking at this correctly, Port got involved in a deal between two other clubs and made out like bandits...
Please, every 2nd person keep telling me how I should just "trust in Walls"
I like you conspiracy theory and subscribeFor what its worth I think the secret handshake deal is that 1) WC don't bid on Annabel. 2) They do bit on Uwland. Annable therefor can't be picked before 4 capping his points value at 1750. Whatever new pick in the late 30s(?) is left over after Annable is bid on gets traded to us or there is a three way involving a future pick.
Not all heroes wear capesthis trade period is so boring we have melting over what will be a pick in the 40s for like 4 days.
Being serious though, pick in the 40s is disingenuous. Its a Brisbane F2 they should have. That is worth melting over IMOthis trade period is so boring we have melting over what will be a pick in the 40s for like 4 days.

Maybe you wouldn't if you drafted him with pick 14.I genuinely believe 41 is overs for Chesser.
How hard is it to get points?I'd like to believe this. I really would. But the issue is Brisbane seem to be absolutely ruthless pricks and their list manager seems like such a smug w***er when you listen to him. They've been handed so many concessions and he acts like he is god's gift to list management, when really he has just been gifted everything on a plate. Strong attitude of entitlement and if they can screw us over like they have, then I'm not sure they are in the business of throwing us a bone as a thankyou.
