Don't think we get that much unless it's a 2027 pick tbh.

Think we're just sitting back waiting to see if pick swap with Port works at any point. Once it's clear we can't get any benefit from the trade we'll trade him for a future 4th.

FWIW I don't any pick swap happens unless it's minimal (like the Reidy trade) or swapping similar between drafts.

Reckon we might try find a way to move Pick 47 up. That'd obviously involve a third club and likely gets complicated.

I was catching an Uber to the airport today (Uber Premier), and my driver had some interesting Freo trade mail that he’d heard from another passenger, who he says was wearing a Fremantle polo.

He said that because the Saints have pulled out of the Leek deal, it has opened the door for North. North can only take Leek if they can move one of their defenders. North are looking to salary dump Logue back onto Freo, with Freo open to it if they can get Collingwood’s F1 that North might receive for Simpkin.

That would be woeful for us if true - we have plenty of young talent to pay, Serong first and foremost. Can’t afford big salaries on the list in the twos.

Plus leek wouldn’t cost that much, can’t be on a packet playing twos at the giants.

Edit: plus Simpkin leaving would free up plenty of cap. I don’t buy this one!

Its actually not a bad play. Any uber or taxi use during trade week, carry various club polos with you, take your pick, sit in the back seat and call anyone you like to talk crazy trade rumours.
