In 2016 we had Fyfe, Neale and Mundy taking taps off Sandilands, i.e. two two time Brownlow medalists and two All Australians in the centre bounce and we still finished 3rd last.Warner would be exactly what WC need in a young mid who can immediately be their best player. I would prefer we get him.
Wanna bet - If the Bombers offer him 4 firsts it could be 4 top 10 picks easily.Harley is contracted to 2026. If they can get the Chad they'll do it and hope that convinces Reid to stay.
But on the open market Reid is only worth a little bit more than Warner. No player is worth 4 x top 10 picks as you're suggesting.

They need a good side not a gold plated midfield at its expense.
They'll still do it, just so we can't have him and because they're still huffing their own farts.

Yep and GAGF was the caddy!WC working hard on getting Warner...
The race for Chad Warner heats up. As per WA radio reports, can confirm the Swans star spent time with West Coast officials in Perth on the weekend, which included playing golf with them.
Yeah..Thanks mate...I copied this from Fox News.Yep and GAGF was the caddy!

So if Kozzi was so keen on freo up to the last 24 hours, why didn't we make it happen?

Simple I’d say. We didn’t have enough collateral to turn Melbourne’s head.So if Kozzi was so keen on freo up to the last 24 hours, why didn't we make it happen?

Easiest answer is because we couldn’t begin any Kozzie deals in earnest until we closed the Bolton deal. That was the one we had plotted for all year, including making deals in principle with Shai and his manager. Unfortunately that one took too long to complete and we would have only had that last 24hrs to cobble together a deal to satisfy Dees.So if Kozzi was so keen on freo up to the last 24 hours, why didn't we make it happen?

2 firsts is the starting point tbhKozzie might not be worth it at the price Melbourne demand. Put your feet in their list manager’s shoes. If it is true that every year he asks to go but continues to play good football, then you’re not going to let him go for a bag of chips.
Where do your you draw the line in terms of cost? An early and middle to late first rounder?
Let's hope bolts and Narkle are in kozzies ear all year, known to change his mind a bit apparently
Imagine Kozzie causing chaos with our talls. Woweee

Not sure about Brayshaw and Serong..... just wondering what signs of leadership you might be hoping to see from them to give you more confidence. This year we may struggle as players like Fyfe, Walters, O'Meara, Aish play less football in the best 22. That is over 1000 games of experience there, and I think most would only have 1 or 2 in the best 22.
If they are replaced by Erasmus, Reid, Banfield and Wagner, then it will be interesting to see how we handle certain in game situations or if we need to wait until quarter time or half time to fix issues in our team.
A good experienced team with several smart on field leaders, can adjust the game plan very quickly.
The mid team can adjust the game plan at quarter time.
An in experienced team, it may take 5 or 6 training to work it out.
A separate question, but do we an on field coach? Pearce looks to be pretty good. Not sure about Brayshaw and Serong.
What about the forward line?

Also, in the forward line, Treacy is stepping up confidently.
Google Specsavers.Just to be clear, not saying that are bad at the tactical side of things, I just don't know and with the exception of a defender organising a backline it is hard to see (for myself at least).
Kozzie will raise a lot of interesting questions list management wise:
- Pick one of Sturt, Freddy or Switta to trade or send to Peel.
- How do Reid and/or Simpson ever get a look in? Do they kick one or two of the other names above out eventually? Do we move Simpson to the HBF? Has all the tools.
- The Darcy debate comes up again because the other way to make a spot is move Jackson (who was requested to put on weight supposedly) to full time ruck...
