It's why (IMO) we should be slightly biased to drafting Vic kids compared to WA kids, it's the only way to get them over.

Anyone that still thinks we should be looking to draft WA kids simply fails to understand the dynamics of player movement in this sport.
The only way we get non WA talent into this club is via the draft and rookie draft. Thats it.

Pretty much what I think, with fully fit depth in the backline Banfield can move back to the forward line or even the midfield.

He was more likely in the mix for HBF or Wing with Freo.

I can understand him choosing Sydney.

Yeah it’s this idea where everyone who’s talked up jai as slotting straight into our backline always brings up Banfield and worner as who he replaces…. As if their minds go immediately blank at the same time ,forgetting who’s already on our list and wasn’t in the team for our final

Surely it’s not too much to ask to do a simple satrting back 6 calculation….

IMO Starcevich isn't even worth pick 24. Good solid player - no more, no less and has concussion worries to diminish his value.

We have Draper in the wings for Ryans spot and Chapman could also play that third tall

From a list spots perspective, losing out on Jai makes it easier to do something else without causing major headaches. He's probably closer to the calibre of player we'd SSP than trade in. Would've been nice to get him for Caleb though (plus there's some ability there).

Most likely scenario is probably get McVee then shut up shop. But apart from the really tragic teams, everyone wants players and nobody wants picks. In that situation, players shake loose to make Adam Cooney
