I know it's all posturing and the deal for ah chee to ADE will get done. But would you give pick 20 for him? I think I would.
We did have quite a lot of John Cena booking this year actuallyIf only we could be losing all game and then hit our finisher out of nowhere.

I forgot about the salary aspect of it, good point. He's definitely better than a fringe player thoughAbsolutely not, he’s a fringe / role player. Save the salary cap coin for a difference maker.
'Better than a fringe player' doesn't scream giving up a pick that high justifcation to me. The michael prior rule applies here.I forgot about the salary aspect of it, good point. He's definitely better than a fringe player though
Maybe North have run out of money?
Saints royally ****ed that kid.
He’s now having to sign a deal at GWS on less money because they’ve adjusted their payments AND brought in Laverde.
Apparently the deal GWS can give Aleer is 200-250k.
So it’s safe to say the Saints have ****ed the kid to the tune of about 1-1.5 million bucks over the life of the deal.
That’s disgusting
yeah fair enough, he is also 28 already. I think I'm just wanting some sweet dopamine hit but realistically, I am very happy overall with our list profile and keeping the boys together'Better than a fringe player' doesn't scream giving up a pick that high justifcation to me. The michael prior rule applies here.
That’s just fantastic…the fact that they are so full of spuds and could nbe in that position is amusing to say the least
North should have banked cash like Saints did. They have been terrible for the longest time out of anybody so I would be shocked if they can't afford a player. Wanting to spend the money on him is a different scenario. They might have signed LDU with a massive front loaded bonus in 2026 to get him across the line and now can't find a spare $500k to bring in a player for next year without backloading their deal - and players don't like back ended deals at new clubs.
More so after Collingwood shifted players signed to them when the bill came around.
Pretty average.Callum Ah Chee is the Lion's;
8th player for score involvements (4.8)/ 8th player for Freo is Voss (5.2)
5th for shots at goal (2.3)/ 5th player for Freo is Amiss (2.5)
8th in goals per game (0.9)/ 8th player for Freo is Dudley (0.9)
=2nd in goal assists per game (0.8)/ =2nd for Freo is Reidy/Reid (1/0.9)
He'd be very useful in terms of team scoring by the look of it.
Murphy Reid is arguably a similar style player, similar impact but far more growth.
I think we can move Reid into a more involvement role and slot in a young player with good disposal and use who can win their own ball and run all day.

Harsh. Ah Chee kicked 10 goals in the 2024 finals campaign and was voted internally by Brisbane as their joint player of the finals. Wasn't quite as good this year and played a different role on the wing, but he had very solid games in the prelim and GF and would have been somewhere around the 10-12th best player across those final 2 games. Proven track record in big finals and I would pay pick 20 for him without thinking of the salary cap ramifications (which is a very valid point).
On top of the salary, his age is also a tad awkward at 28. Could be fine, but I have a feeling we might need a couple of years of prelim level output before going all the way, and by then he is 30+ and Rivers/Warner are FA targets end of 2027.
Just to throw that wasp nest into the living room..
