my only thinking is he didn't really want to move without the big pay. he's now signed on to GWS for 2 years so I think he's backing himself in to prove his worth in that time

Can't see anyone taking him. Druggies or alcoholics can get a second or third chance. They are mostly only harming themselves (directly). Committing offences against women is a massive no-no and public relations disaster. State league clubs have tried to bring him in, and it caused such a backlash that they were forced to abandon the idea.

There are AFLW interests, female supporters, plus all the men who are against it, sponsors ... it is a terrible look and I would be very surprised if anyone brought him in. Mind you, Liam Ryan has been able to run around with DV issues swept under the rug by WC, and De Goey has been out and about groping and molesting. So who knows.

Best case with Judd is we get an attacking halfback/winger and worst case is he goes back to playing on the oppositions best small. 5 year deal is fine for a 22 year old that slots in round 1.

People who say he's a liability...I don't understand why they undervalue his defensive efforts, spoils or how he shutsdown all his direct opponents.

Makes me wonder whether they're a Mike Sheehan in disguise where a game can only be good if it's 140 to 130.

Simpson, Clark and Walker rounds out the backline perfectly. We just need a bloody small forward but it doesn't sound like we are interested.

Hustwaite isn't even a fringe player 10 games in 3 years obviously isn't in Hawks plans. And his stats don't look good.

Teams have to realise you have to be willing to trade quality to get quality.
