Back by popular demand. However...

There has been some aggro from publishers of articles in recent months about sites that copypasta their content onto other sites, particularly the paywalled ones, which could lead to fines and whanot for those that do it. Apparently there are copywrite laws for these things. As a result we can no longer have full articles reposted here, so if you come across something then please refrain from nabbing the whole thing and just post the link. Quoting a paragraph or two and linking the source is fine however, just don't get greedy.

Here's the updated site-wide rule: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/please-read-re-copyright-posting-newspaper-articles.1389553/

Here's an example of what you can do:

"If West Coast was the gold standard for how to operate, then Fremantle's arrival into the AFL in 1995 could be viewed as a series of cautionary tales.

Despite eight wins in that debut season, a series of poor recruiting choices meant they didn't play their first final until 2003."

If they believe that us not making finals until 2003 was solely due to "a series of poor recruiting choices" then I have a bridge to sell them.

Thanks for your understanding.

A few unbelievable stats here:

1. Of all the midfielders to play enough minutes to qualify, the most impactful mid when playing in there in the comp this year? Shai Bolton

2. This is unbelievable. The number one team at winning the ball across half back and getting it on to the scoreboard? Fremantle Dockers. The premiers have been number one in four of the last six years and Brisbane were number one second half of last year. Freo have gone above AFL average in terms of speed of ball movement in 10 quarters this year and have won 9 of those 10 quarters

3. Of all the ruckman to play enough minutes to qualify, the most impactful ruck in the competition? Luke Jackson

Sharp in particular i agree with, sticks out like a sore thumb in trying to play this way

The question then arises, how much is his lower leg/shin soreness impacting him ?
We have heard, albeit not officially, that Jez has been getting jabbed up to get out there.
His efficiency was okay last year.

Very good point this might explain a bit, I remember the story. Pity we don’t have the depth to let him rest if that is the case, O’Driscoll looked good at training today, perhaps he allows us to rest Sharp.

I want walker off the wing to replace sharp, gives us flexibility if a small starts to get off the chain. Is fast and can defend.
And turnovers less likely to be cat 10 going into the f50 as opposed to out of defence.

I’m a Brandon Walker fan, definitely ; but if there is one knock on him it’s his kicking.
Brandon’s kicking Can be very hit and miss.
I reckon Jeremy Sharp will really benefit from the bye.

His efficiency will always be ok, all he does is kick 40+ bombs and seriously struggles to his short, crisp passes. It's been like that from the start. It'd be nice to have a wing with good, doesnt have to be great, but good disposal

Has anyone posted the article that was in the Worst this morning , article by Danni Laidley.

I think teams have figured out Jez and covering him as an outlet. In saying that he endless running and making opposition players cover him is serving the team well. His leg can’t be bothering him that much if he is covering 17km a game.

Don't think he's really someone teams will put a lot of time into. He's had three very poor games (under 15 touches) this year but they've all been in wins.

Unless we get into the top 4 we ain't winning the flag.

We don't have the luxury with the travel factor to hop on a plane 3 weeks straight 5hrs each way to win a flag.

I reckon Jeremy Sharp will really benefit from the bye.
Also his ability to gift 1-2 goals a game to the opposition by doing dumb things like not getting rid of the ball.

Why rest him when we could just drop him?

Interesting, we also haven't lost when he hasn't played.

I made a comment on the club’s post about the Wiz’s jumper we played in last week and the story behind it saying I love the jumper so much I’d be happy for it to be our regular jumper and got an interesting like on my post.

The arrogance is off the charts suggesting they represent the whole of WA.
Nah I think you're reading too much into that, think they're just doing something to celebrate WA day.

Should be a rotating home game every year, team in WA wears a special jersey.

He plays a thankless role, sometimes the ball just doesn't come out to you. I'd rather he stick to his role than get sucked into the contest trying to win another 5 disposals

Disagree. Leave the state colours for the state games.

I've been saying this for ages. (Well, I've been thinking it anyway. I doubt I'll be able to find it bookmarked somewhere.)

Nah, IP is spot on. Despite them being crap the past few years languishing down the bottom of the ladder (ain't it grand, btw) their arrogance and hubris remains elite. They can GOAGF. We need to wear that SOO guernsey quick smart so their weevil fans don't start associating it with them.
