Thought we’d just sign up for 2 country memberships with priority access to finals.
We were told the price of monthly instalments and thought we’d go for that.
We were clear when we asked that they were the payments per month and nothing else.
They then charged us for one membership up front and one repayment.
Every flipping year they fk something up

Not good enough 👎

Give the M/ship Dept a call.

Not good enough 👎

Give the M/ship Dept a call.
I’ve called them so many times over the years.
They say they will log my complaint.
And do it again and again.
I used to pay for 5 memberships.
When my kids got old enough they wanted to pay for their own.
I rang the membership department to stop payments coming from my account so they could pay for their own.
They said no worries it’s all logged it won’t happen again.
So after 2 more years of payments coming out, after last year I said that’s it. I changed my card and wasn’t going to renew.
But when I weakened and did so …. Well here we go again 🤬

Great to hear!
I've never had an issue over many moons..and always helpful if I call.

Glad you got a happy ending.

And now for Saturday.
A very tough challenge ahead.

Membership department just called.
They reimbursed one membership minus the first payment.
They were lovely and very apologetic that it’s been going on for so long.
Hopefully that’s all fixed going forward.
Two happy members this morning.

So good to hear jezza :thumbsu:

I'm having ongoing issues with my Away reserve seats at the MCG.
After renewing our membership in December last year we had a call from the club early this year telling us we had to move seats due to a reason out of the clubs control etc( I can't remember exactly the reason now but we had to give up our seats).

We agreed as long as we were given equivalent seats. Our original seats for Away games was Level 4 Row A right on the 50 arc great seats. The next Away game we attended we had to sit in our new seats which were total garbage seats. The were restricted viewing seats on Level 4,looking right through handrails, the two big screens had half the screen blocked out aswell, terrible seats.

I waited until Monday morning and called the club and blasted them.
30 plus years as members, paying top dollar for our memberships the entire time, gave up our fantastic seats to get rubbish seats in return.

This happened at the start of the season and the club has been looking for better seating for us since then without any luck!

The story gets better! I had a call from the club on Wednesday asking would i mind moving my Home seat at the MCG to two seats across so a husband and wife could sit together?

Meanwhile they can't find us better seating to accommodate our Away seats for the rest of the season but want my Home seat to accommodate someone else.
It's an absolute joke.

-5 for 2026 already. I officially deleted my family memberships. As a high school teacher I can’t keep giving up this much money for something I believe in but the players do not. I don’t really get a voice internally but an email about my frustrations and sharing my disdain for whats going on currently. A bunch of conditional players that are enjoying something us mere mortals can only dream of doing. These players get 10-20 times what I get paid in a year and I can guarantee I work harder than all of them. I now get to figure out what to spend $2200 extra a year.

PS - I really should have done this along time ago but I always feared missing the opportunity to get to a grand final. But I know now I’ll be long dead before that happens. If at all.

You've done a great thing for your family mate. Spend it on the kids, get a nice new TV etc. You'll love being home already, instead of having to commute in the cold, after they dissapoint you again and again.

Ive also lost interest, Ive cancelled my auto renewal. No more free rides CFC. You need to earn my money, right now the players dont give a shit, why should I.

I've been paying for my three kids' memberships since they were toddlers.
They're now 16, 19 and 22!
That's a lot of useless club paraphernalia ... though the club's $35 voucher system plus postage or whatever it is put an end to that.
But they can stump up now if they want to continue.
This year that have started to ask again ask Dad why the hell he supported Carlton?
"We used to be good" just doesn't wash these days.
Suspect this will be three more members lost to the club.

I hope you kept the Charlie's Crew pencil case, that will be a collector's item.

Harden the hell up, kids are way more resilient than adults.
I suggest getting them to watch individual players, next year that will be Jagga, got my son and daughter through with Crippa and nowadays they are dragging my sorry arse to the football on a Thursday night when I know we’ll get beaten and would just prefer to sit on said sorry arse on the couch at home with the remote in my hand ready at any time to switch over to something else.

Your club Being good or being shit is like the circle of life, some days are good and some days are real bad

I was going through the same with my youngens back when Judd first came. Middle one was being influenced by his filth mates, so I decided they had to have an experience with the players.
I took them out and bought them all new Carlton teamwear and jersey's, got silver and gold fabric markers, and took them to every training session for two weeks over school holidays (back when you could rock up any time).
They got to meet all the players, talk with their favourite players, get all their stuff signed and experience something they never had before.
Let's just say they're bigger nutters than I am now and all are in their mid/late 20's. They've never seen the glory I have been fortunate enough to have seen many times, but they're waiting for their time to come. We can only hope it's one day very soon.
