Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Why would we consider Hamling, who we also had this year, when thinking about drafting or not drafting a player that probably isn't ready to play for a couple of years?Could add Hamling to the stocks of KPF's list too based on where he has played a lot the last two seasons. At VFL level at least.
Don't worry about that. Turn the cricket on. Kyle is about to come on for his first spell.I can confirm we are taking Noah Chamberlain as a pre-listed Cat B rookie. After the draft concluded last night Cox called and told him the news. Then Noah called his mates and they all went over to his place to celebrate. Lock it in.
I think the rookie draft is from 3 pm.

OK, wow, we've prelisted Chamberlain and HETHERTON as Cat B rookies!
No, they're separate. What does that mean for the list and Rampe/Lloyd etc? Or was that on the cards anyway.
Doesn’t mean anything for them. Cat A and B lists are separate. What does that mean for the list and Rampe/Lloyd etc? Or was that on the cards anyway.

I started to wonder about Hetherton last night and asked a question (earlier in this thread) about whether we were limited to our academy grad or were still allowed to extend anywhere into NSW. I now have my answer.
First there was contest. Then there was speed. And, now, we have evidently decided the future of the game is in the air. We have just drafted 3 of the top 10 running vertical leapers in the country in Kyle, Phillipou and King.
We delisted Kirk, and Edwards had to be elevated to the A list, having already spent three years on the B list. So we have two Cat B spots free and just two Cat A spots, which will be occupied by Lloyd and Rampe.I was meaning how many can we have, and how many do we currently have etc. For some reason I thought there was only 1 left at category B?
Hopefully our midfield marking strength will improve, albeit that may initially be at VFL level. All three of our teams are noticeably weak in that area.First there was contest. Then there was speed. And, now, we have evidently decided the future of the game is in the air. We have just drafted 3 of the top 10 running vertical leapers in the country in Kyle, Phillipou and King.
Agreed completely. I love taking Hetherton who was highly rated before injuries. All of a sudden the Swans have a decent group of guys that have huge ceilings. Would have been nice to get Hetherton around Bill Knowles too, but as they mentioned the Swans staff were taking notes etc.Wow!! I did not know we'd be able to pre-list Hetherton. I'm pumped to get him. Perfect!! Now I'm really satisfied with this draft, notwithstanding missing out on Lachie.
Our tall forward stocks this year are through the roof: suddenly we'll have Curnow and Logan, neither of whom played for us in 2025, as well as a freshly Bill-Knowles-rehabbed Amartey with McLean and Ladhams as back up and Hetherton developing in the 2s. I think abruptly we'll go from having one of the weakest bunch of KPFs playing this year to one of the strongest next year. Might not count for much if we don't get it done elsewhere.
I didn’t realise Hetherton was apart of the academy? Nevertheless good that we’ve gotten in a developing kpf, something we don’t have with Buller gone (if you exclude King too)
Cal just confirmed your info on Hetherton being prelisted as an undrafted NSW talentDoesn’t mean anything for them. Cat A and B lists are separate.

Sweet, never knew about that so good to knowHis not, we can pre-list undrafted NSW talent as CAT-B (Same as GWS).
But you didn't grow(sorry)Liam Hetherton has potential in spades.
Showed some really strong signs this year before being sidelined with stress fractures in his back (Not uncommon with growing kids (I had this in my back growing up)).
Kicked 11 goals in 3 games for the Bushrangers this year (But also got 3 on the Grand final showcase game last year and 5 goals for NSW against Vic Metro in an under 17's game last year).
Has scored consistently at every level he has played and is a decent athlete, could have been really high up the draft board if not for his injuries this year.
Is also highly athletic (his results from previous testing would have placed him top ten at the combine in both standing and running vertical leap).
