Now watch Drew Brees try and do the same. or Tom Brady makes himself the raiders "savior" next season
Brady can't I don't think. Wasn't that one of the caveats when they allowed him to become part owner in the Raiders?

Because the NFL are always so firm on the rules they set.

I have Phillip rivers doing a soft tissue injury in the first 2 weeks.

I get Shane wanting a QB who understands the system, but rivers is very likely to get injured with the first 2 weeks due to the lack of conditioning over the last 5 years .

Get someone like Russel, you don't need too much of a brain to hand the ball to JT and try to make the occasional completion

Golly stop being so negative dagummit.

Yea I know that was a bit cynical, but for a player who had no NFL conditioning for the last 5 years, I have idea how he is going to survive without picking up some form of soft tissue injury.

I hope I am proven wrong, and rivers just makes me look silly. I can get behind the colts doing well.

Russel who? surely not Wilson. I would rather the Colts roll out Rivers, or even roll out some preseason camp arm that has been at home the last 3 months.

I think you're right, but this will be much more fun than signing Russ. 😃

He has been coaching his kids high school football team. not like he wouldnt still be doing stuff with them every now and then.

Teddy Bridgewater did the same last season. while it wasnt as long a layoff. Its not like they havent picked up a football since they retired.

But you can agree that nothing can simulate NFL level conditioning. There is being fit, and then there is being NFL ready fit.

I guess time will tell how this rivers thing pans out.

Rus has been on the bench for months and been inactive QB3 a few times. not like it was Jameis who started a few weeks ago
