Honestly didn't listen, just wanted to get a jibe in about delusional essendon supporters :)

But on the topic, who really gives a shit?? He's been with them what, 6 months??

It's a stupid take. Backwards in thinking. They're not getting a 5th rd pick from anyone else, so you take it.
I think the picks are irrelevant. its just because of how rare it is.

almost every other team in the league wouldn't trade in division even if its a rental like Flacco. Like the Giants wouldnt trade Rus inside the East [not that anyone in the east would even want Rus]. You just shouldnt want to make a division rival better. If anything most teams would take less to trade outside the division.

If the Browns waited a few weeks i think the Colts might of given up a 5th for him. with how their QB room is right now outside of Jones

Rare yes, but should it be?

It means more to fans, than it does those in the front office. Fans need to get over that. Its a business, and with a clear head, its a good deal.

If it was a guy that had been with them like 12 years, and multiple time team MVP, then maybe it should cause some upset. But its not.

Stupid take still.

Just re: Flacco trade....remember the Browns still have Watson to come back, who they heavily invested in, so theyd probably still want to try to make tht work and Flacco is expendable. They also have Zappe in the QB room as a vet.

Just "funny" how they had 30 QBs on roster during preseason and i said more than 2 is a luxury, and theyve whittled it down to 2 active getting a couple picks for the two theyve let gp.

Bengals will come back to earth soon enough as Flacco isnt "all that" anyway. He'll shit the bed evenetually.

Jameis not only one of the funniest but also kind hearted people out there.

The world would be better with more people like him 🙌🏼

Steelers were sitting in zone coverage all game yesterday - I don’t know if it was Tomlin ripping into Andrew Berry the Browns GM about moving on from him that made them treat him like 2009 Flacco but he was slinging it. Felt they were extremely passive.

You’d think teams actually game plan for it going forward and you know - maybe not let the best WR in the nfl be targeted 23 times

Bengals/Flacco pretty much threw a million passes to quick slants and the Steelers didn't adjust whatsoever.

Dude must be an Essendon supporter if he thinks a 40yo QB is worth more than 5th rounder... Bengals still paid overs.

Yes, he was the opening day starter, but there was ZERO chance he was going to start 17 games this season.

How is it paying overs to potentially save their season?
They’ve been utterly pathetic for weeks. Can’t waste these years of Chase, Higgins, Burrow etc..

Bringing AFL drama into NFL discussion, I absolutely live for this drama 🤣🤣.

Browns should have asked for 4 fifth round picks and some no name QB. 😂😂

Potentially is the operative word here... Sure, its a great deal if he does save their season, but if he doesn't, its overs... maybe its the packer fan in me that sees a 5th rounder as a very valuable pick!

Flacco hasn't been relevant in nearly a decade, and dare I say carried by defence before that also. There's a reason he was replaced IN HIS PRIME. He's got a top WR duo to work with, so there's going to be times when he's looking good, but there's every chance the coach turns back into a pumpkin soon. If they had a competent O-Line, Defense or Coach its a different story altogether...

Hawks fans still very salty. Love it.

Agree with gg don’t think this will last from Flacco

Yeah they are having trouble letting this one go, delicious 🤣 .

Nah, not at all. I didn't want to give up what was offered, so I'm happy with the end result. Would've taken a couple of years to wash the 'loser' off of him anyway...:D

But this whole 'cut off your nose to spite your face' attitude is what has gotten me most... exactly the kind of thinking that has led to the 21 years without a finals win. It's like Dodoro hasn't even left. Never change, Bombers, never change.

Some weird odds this week

Lions -5.5
Chargers -1.5
Rams, Panthers favourites on the road.
Not saying I disagree necessarily, but it’s interesting.
Honestly the Bucks have been playing great and that Lions defence is so banged up those odds look a little off

I guess we will wait and see
Probably comes back to my recently developed bias against ever trading QBs that have any talent whatsoever.

We shall see and time will tell.
I’m hoping you’re right and the Bengals fizzle out soon enough!

Also, he was replaced by an all-timer, twice MVP already. Doesn’t mean he or Alex Smith aren’t good QBs, or that they couldn’t contribute later in life.

Agree, can only be looked at at the end of season for true judgment.

But just on that last bit, who he was replaced by is completely irrelevant. Not only did they deem Flacco replaceable, they traded assets to go get his replacement. They could've drafted Mason Rudolph at that pick, it doesn't change the fact they didn't have faith in him to be their QB.
