Something that irrationally annoys me is Dwayne Russell's continual, irrelevant references to pre season games.

Today it was: "Finlayson's best game was against the Saints in the pre season". Not as bad as other times where he uses the pre season to assess a team's quality: "they did very well against this same side in the pre season" etc.

Maybe you can do this in the first round or two, but even then pre season games are very different to the real thing, especially now. So, if you're reading this Dwayne, just stop.

Can't top the king's birthday game saying it over and over that if Melbourne win they could be 10th!!!!!!

I think it looks pathetic wherever it's done. Any form of manufactured passion is cringeworthy. The yanks thrive on it. Why bring it here?

Agreed. I always cringe when those obnoxious game day announcers with the microphone try to get the Collingwood chant going. The chant is always best when it comes about organically from the fans.
