Shambolic Rube
Hawks to go interstate and most likely play GWS.
That’s a shame.

Pretty much all results went our way in a big way to give us the best opportunity to win a flag if we are good enough.
Play a Rankine-less Adelaide in a QF to go straight though to a home MCG prelim, but if we lose, we now most-likely play a non-victorian team, and then a likely MCG prelim against Geelong.
Either way we have a road to an MCG prelim. Can’t complain.
The beauty is one of those will be condemned too.Hawks to go interstate and most likely play GWS.
That’s a shame.
For anyone else yep, but for the Suns who have a shocking record against GWS, I reckon they’ll want to go to Perth. The Suns dilemma …
… how to beat Essendon by enough to seal the game, but not by too much to get a trip to Perth.

Or more likely scenario if we lose, play hawthorn week 2 and if we get over them, Brisbane at the GABBA.
Must win week 1.

Cox? Don't see him playing.I don’t. I want the big Texan to kick 9 on Keane
More likely scenario where both lower-placed away teams win? Ye nah
I reckon Brisbane I’ll smash em.Brisbane have won their last 3 against Geelong including their last final at the MCG.
Nothing betterSeeing Sam Mitchell furious in the box post game just tops off a perfect weekend.

That's what AFL wants.Just looking at the top 8, if Freo win this and Gold Coast don’t produce the biggest choke in AFL history, you’ll have every state and territory represented in finals.
Freo in Perth I reckon. Both tough assignments though. Suck shit HawthornI think 30+ point win roughly would get Gold Coast's percentage above Hawthorn - seeing the Hawks drop to 8th.
What is the tougher assignment? Freo in Perth or GWS in Sydney?
Think the trip to Perth is worse, but GWS are tougher opposition.
Either way, hope Hawthorn are gone first week!
Hmm I think they take a good stab at it sometimes. Us having our bottom 6 double ups against Adelaide and Melbourne, the two teams most likely to rise, was a stitch up. Given we’ll have a top 6 finish this year you can bet next year our one double up will be against Melbourne again or Essendon. Our top 3rd double ups will include Adelaide and Brisbane. We don’t get a fixturing free lunch unless we finish bottom 6.9th has you playing 2 teams from each third of the ladder twice - we did that. Cats finished 4th and played 3 of the top third, 2 from the middle third and 1 from the bottom third. THe AFL doesn't then try to predict who is going to rise and who is going to fall within those thirds.
A stitch up? Don't tell me you are one of the ones who think the AFL conspires against us? Who is running this nefarious campaign?Hmm I think they take a good stab at it sometimes. Our draw is what it is because we are the biggest drawing club in the land. Pure and simple. It's good for us and good for the competition. Beats being a little boutique clubA stitch up? That's the big influence on our fixturing. If the AFL were so inclined as to try to manipulate the fixture for financial gain, they would give us the big draw games AND give us plenty of easy ones so we make the finals. Our draw is what it is because we are the biggest drawing club in the land. Luckily, the AFL ain't that way inclined nor sufficiently sophisticated to be able to manipulate the comp with a clandestine doctored fixture.

What part of what I proposed was incorrect? Sure take a shot at the language I don’t really care about that and there’s no conspiracy, but you know I’m right and there’s zero chance we’re getting any of North, Richmond, WC or Port twice next year. As a fan of the 6/6/6 fixturing it still needs tweaking. For instance this years PF should not receive a double up against a bottom 4 team for 2026.A stitch up?
