No one will be getting smashed next week, when you are down to the last 4 all of the teams that compete are worthy, I expect Geelong to just win, will be an epic contest. Adelaide were putrid, I cannot believe how they have folded so easily into last two weeks, they didn't win a single quarter of footy in finals.

And we still need to get past Lions or Suns.

Both Cats & Hawks give me nightmares.

We need to win next week to make it happen but the prospect of facing cats or hawks in a gf is going to be a scary one.

Historically hawks gf record is much better than ours and they are our biggest bogey side so that doesn't bare well for us.
We do have a lot of premiership players and experience on our side though.

Like others have stated we need a bloodbath next Friday and for both teams to play their gf early.

How does the pre finals bye affect this game?

If you want to argue that getting the week off before the prelim is no longer an advantage that’s fine, but I don’t see how it changes whether a top 4 side can win a semi final or not.

Scott won't get outcoached next week. However, Hawks have more revenue to goals.

Hawthorn looked solid tonight, but that was more a reflection of how lame Adelaide was.

Only good teams remain. We know whoever we play will be a tough opponent, but we can beat anyone on our day.

They are the worst team we could play in the GF

Obviously we have to get there and not taking anything for granted after 2019, but if we make it beating cats or hawks in a GF would be unbelievably satisfying. Our best is good enough.
