Jonas the only of the Big 4 racing either. Goes in as favourite for Paris-Nice. Almeida and O'Connor the only other ones who've podiumed on a GT at this stage.

TA has a more spread field, but I think the 1-2 punch of Ayuso and Yates will be tough to beat for UAE, Simon Yates and Cian Uijtdebroeks probably the biggest challengers.

Merlier the favourite for tonight's stage. Coverage starts at 11:30 Vicbias time on SBS. StayLive have the rights to Tirreno from tomorrow

Merlier wins the sprint as expected. Another sprint stage tonight before the TTT tomorrow

Disaster for Jayco with Durbridge breaking his collarbone, as I had them pegged as favorites for the TTT. Will say that a TTt must be stage one in a stage race. Jayco prioritised both races, hence, no young riders.

The crashes will give Vingegaard an easy deflection but his climbing this year is extremely sub par from an expected TDF podium rider. I'd love to know what crank size he is running on his road bike. Based on GCN's video a few days ago most riders understand the effect of shorter cranks. i would never have thought Almeida could do what he has done to Vingegaard so far this year.

I think I read 172 somewhere.
