Meh. Midfield was the problem all year so no shock. Just not good enough. Otherwise ripping season.

I’m not convinced geelongs pressure was that good, we just lack intensity. How many times do we kick or handball that gets smothered. Why we try and break so many tackles is beyond me, just give it to a team mate in a better position, we get done holding the ball so much!

Need two more mids. Worps will be addition by subtraction. I still don’t believe Cats are dumb enough to offer him a contract.

Ultimately, our Achilles heel was too much to overcome. They shut down Newcombe comprehensively and we got smashed at clearance. Nash stood up massively but it wasn’t enough.

I felt our backline did reasonably given the sheer amount of unpressured ball that was coming in, and our forwards were potent with the few chances they got.

I’m proud of how far we got and disappointed we fell short. Priority number one in the offseason should be midfielders.
