Very disappointed. Yes, they are a quality team, but Stewart was subbed off. Huge opportunity wasted.

Their strategy was obvious - take away our weapons and punish turnovers and indecision. And boy we gave them a lot of it. It's ultra disappointing to get beaten by something you KNOW is coming.

Nashy was super, Gunners superb as always, but I'd say most of our lads were well beaten on the night.

This isn't a pot shot...but we let them do exactly what we knew they would do.
To be beaten by what you know is the worst type of defeat.
But in Aussie rules pain is one of the greatest teachers. You get stronger, or you fade forever. I think out team will get stronger from tonight's lesson.

Thought Nash was a standout tonight. Anyone with more acumen/insight know if this was a by-product of Geelong midfield tactics targeting others, or just Nash being the bloody beast we know him to be? In any case I loved his game.

Didn’t lower colours, and got a great taste of it. Onward and upward.

Good effort for the season. We were 2 decent mids short to mix it with Bris & Cats. Hopefully Day can string a season together, we recruit another decent mid and make some tough calls during trade week.

Lot of players looked cooked tonight, can we blame it on travelling the first 2 finals and the Cats came in fresh as daisies, or the Cats were just too good

We did well to make it to a prelim and played two great interstate finals, took a step further than last year.

Now hopefully for some top notch off-season recruiting and take a step further next year.

Beaten by a better team. We knew what they would do and they did it as predictably as ever. Clamped our only star midfield and dominated stoppage, pressured us into turnover and then punished us with superior run. Mitch and the team had no answers.

Very good season but we have to go get a midfield to help poor Newk

Just got bullied around the ground from halfway through the 2nd. Made me think Petracca is a better option than Merrett

Bit of a lesson about what it takes and how to be hard at the footy and clean in the clinches.

Proud the boys kept at it but it’s clear we’re missing some grunt and some class.

Thought Chol, Moore and Gunston were excellent. Few others will be a bit disappointed in their output.

Fantastic effort to get where we did. Don't even feel to bad about the result. Everything is pointing forward for us. A couple of new faces next year and get rid of a bit of deadwood. A cats smashing next week would almost be as sweet as a win tonight. In Lord Schadenfreude we trust.

Completely deflated. Bloody proud to get this far but this game has just wrecked me. Staying off social media for a few days - some weird vibes watching grown men instantly resort to bagging out Watson, a 19 year old kid, after we lost from 8th place.

It was a big lead up that got dragged out players probably felt that too. That was poor form Hudson calling Watson the invisible man. I feel exhausted too from this game but at least it's over haha.

Disappointed that Sammy Butler got sub'd instead of TB. CJ hasn't been great in any of the finals he's played as sub this year - I've got eyes, just like everyone else, but no one armed w/ criticism has been able to nominate a better sub option. Simply dribbled piss. I don't think CJ played well, but i do appreciate that stepping into our game as sub vs GWS would've been super tough, and he at least got involved, which is better than being unsighted.

These dumb **** comments like have a lie down or too many reds w/out any further substance a poor reflection on the commenter.

MacKenzie and MacDonald and Ramsden and HH. They dont get startled and can tackle.

CJ was a liability for his 3rd final in a row.

Refusing to bring anyone else in made it impossible to replace him because noone else had the chance.

If we think MacKenzie is worth Saints pick 7 but cant pick him ahead of CJ we are absolutely deluded.

So apparently CJ is our sub specialist, so with the sub rule likely to get the boot CJ can run around for BH next season

It is fine to admit we had no good sub options so we stuck with him, while also admitting he had about 1 positive moment across 3 finals and legit countless mistakes both with and without the ball.
