One note of caution is that ex Geelong players haven't been great. Examples Dean Gore, Ronnie Burns noting Pods is the exception.Apparently we're into George Stevens according to Midweek Tackle, a ball magnet in Geelong's VFL side.
Geelong never let anyone good go, but they’ll ask the world for them anyway. One note of caution is that ex Geelong players haven't been great. Examples Dean Gore, Ronnie Burns noting Pods is the exception.
They're going to need to create some space somewhere in there, especially if Worpel arrives.Geelong never let anyone good go, but they’ll ask the world for them anyway.
Worse that trading with Dodoro. I’d be very careful.

Except he's way taller (189cm), heavier build (around 95 - 100kg and has a bazooka boot, also more versatile very good half backer as an underager when he was at the GWV Rebels before moving to the midfield in his top age year.
Did his ACL as an underager when he was thought to be a prospective 1st round chance. Not quick though but extremely hard to move off the ball.
Yeah, I think he’s an interesting prospect and worth a look. He was a manchild in juniors and even now is physically very developed and a solid inside mid.
But what’s intriguing is I recall Chris Scott saying in a press conference mid year that they’re really hoping to get him in at some stage as he’s ’probably the best kick on their list’
Athleticism is a major negative but the combo of size, ball winning and ball use is attractive enough to be worth a look.
Exactly, saw a lot of him live locally here for the Rebels, was also excellent off half back with that kick setting up a lot of play. Almost impossible to move off the ball when in a contest and also always had good footy I.Q. even back then. In an earlier post I compared his kicking to Jordan Dawson re penetration.Yeah, I think he’s an interesting prospect and worth a look. Could he end up a Matt Kennedy type?![]()
Gather Round Press Conference | Chris Scott

‘George has something a bit different to the rest of our midfielders which is going to work in his favour I suspect.
He is a really big, strong inside mid who can run. I just said don't put pressure on them, but I am going to do it and he is an elite kick.
When he gets his chance at AFL footy, you will see the strong contested work but he is a beautiful user of the ball.
We are excited about his development.’
I know they had a lot of similar types, but im staggered they let him go.Could he end up a Matt Kennedy type?
(I got rubbished on here for suggesting Matt would be a decent player)
Interesting in that he’s never met me![]()

Don't forget Bruhn. They're going to need to create some space somewhere in there, especially if Worpel arrives.
They have a few others like Knevitt trying to force their way in as well as the likes Guthrie and Duncan not able to get into the side when fit.
He better pull his finger outDon't forget Bruhn.![]()
That Jordan Clark bloke looks alrightGeelong never let anyone good go, but they’ll ask the world for them anyway.

He's too young for Geelong. Why does the name George Steven’s just sound like a 250 gamer for Geelong
Gold Coast too - they are set to get Patterson and Uwland inside the top few in this draft to go with the bunch of top 10 academy picks they already have. We should be trying to prise one of them out with a massive offer - young, top end high ceiling mids and there has to be one or 2 squeezed out up there.Geelong going well every year with recruits up the ying yang every season there surely must be some decent prospects getting squeezed out
Exactly what we should be targeting
