It's really not jawboning here on my part, I get this every year from him come the weeks before the draft which I take a very active interest in all year, unlike him unsighted all year until now in the draft thread
He's always the instigator mate and I'll always retaliate because I'm confident he's never seen the draftees actually play full games and I'm not just basing my thoughts off few highlights reels.
Sure I'll freely admit I'm no expert and get some calls wrong but at least my opinions be them right or wrong they are based on having watched the players under full match conditions and I am certainly not a groupthink guy like some.
Fair enough, thought you and he were very much tongue in cheek.
Your work is paramount and very highly regarded in the rookie space afaiac as you know .

The problem people have, is I'm an independent thinker .....I've never gone the herd mentality, you can't ever be successful in life with that sheep mentality

People were irked, because I was the only poster here that supported Nicks trending as a Coach .....and because the group think was he needed to be sacked immediately .....I was therefore a troll, because I didn't bend a knee to group think

Guess who was right though .....all the commentators agreeing with me, that key injuries to Thilthorpe, Worrell, Rankine, and Murray had a major impact on results in 2024....and guess where we finished in 2025

But no, because we didn't win the flag from 15th .....the sack Nicks mantra lives on ....frankly the commentary is so ignorant as to be laughable

I hate group think with a passion .....innovation never comes from group think, and there's entirely too much in society these days, where "The Process" has robbed people's ability to think creatively

Typical delusion. You were not the only poster that supporting Nicks coaching trendline. And you weren’t right, he was found out majorly when it counts. He crapped his dacks a month out from September and focussed more heavily on defensive form of ball movement. As you inferred, he’s got more in common with Bombers philosophies than clubs like Lions and Cats.

That’s really weird, I myself made that observation of the difference in his interaction on both boards.
Not sure you are able to do the same unless you have been a SuperCoach board lurker.
He really lives rent free with all of you. The receipts kept are obviously plentiful and then it kicks off at the
first opportunity and around it goes again. Anyway carry on.

For the record have had2 personal messages with Wayne over 14 years which were regarding fantasy footy and a podcast
otherwise every interaction is on board to see and we disagree far more than agree.
I saw his jawboning with Bicks as their typical banter over a long time so didn’t give it a second thought.

The removal of Wayne as mod was the greatest thing to happen this year as I have finally been able to block him.

lol, this sums you up to a tee.

The issue isn’t because you’re an “independent” thinker, it’s because:

1) you talk shit, get exposed, slink away
2) are a hypocrite, complain about the quality of posting and posters being put off only to tag posters to give them shit, troll posters like you did Mutineer and still try to claim the high ground.
3) accuse others of doing what you do, ie your comprehension skills
4) make stupid statements like you have with this one
5) make stupid statements that you then try to ignore

Let’s look at Nicks, you claimed last year he went rogue bonkers, then you tried to blame early season injuries like Milera missing even though he played.

Move on to this year, on many occasions you’ve denounced the influence of Davis on our performance and game plan, you said it posters making it up. You were provided with quotes from Silvers, Davis, Worrell, Tex, media commentators and yet you ignore it.

Just before the finals you declared yourself a winner and us losers because you backed Nicks. Nicks then went on to highlight all the concerns we had in one finals series and made numerous mistakes, then you hid for a week.

Who has said sack Nicks because we didn’t win the flag from 15th? Names please, otherwise it goes down as another one of your bullshit statements.

What posters have said is Nicks coached shit in the finals, we all wanted to win the flag but that’s also just a dream, what we wanted to see was us to be competitive, win a final and we would have been happy. Instead he made numerous stupid decisions, we weren’t competitive, we didn’t win a quarter and went out in straight sets.

I can’t stand Nicks, but even I’ve said I wouldn’t sack him now, wait to see how the season unfolds, if it looks like we are making finals sign him for a year to see if he improves his finals coaching.

In summary, you are full of it.

Sorry if anyone has spoken about it already, could Setterfield be an option? Great tackler and defensive mid?
Rather him then few other on our list. Better off paying out Jones and Sholl and trying a few others

While I agree we should be doing something - instead of rolling through what we know - I'm not 100% on Setterfield

His figures dont make for good reading. Unsure if injury or selection but he has only played 2 x 15 game seasons ( both early in his career ) and his numbers arent impressive 15 disposal average

Can they delist 2 and rookie 1 have to think sholl is on shaky ground more than welsh who is only 19?
Sholl would be on firmer ground than Cook or Jones. Welsh, as a 1st year kid, would be on firmer ground again.

But in answer to your question... they could, if they have room left in the 2025 salary cap for the 2026 salary of the player delisted and not re-drafted. They could, but they won't.

True i think 1 of those 3 need to be delisted and another rookied not welsh

As expected, Welsh to the rookie list.

Adelaide to Tyler Welsh

I don't get the re-rookie-ing part.

If he's no good, just pay him out and get rid of him.
I think what they've done is exactly the right decision with Tyler, to me they see something in him but think he needs a good kick up the bum to hopefully get his act together, basically shape up or ship out, the balls in your court.

Likely we'll find out today if Mitch Stevens is in our thinking too?
Would you take him with our second pick based on what you've seen?

I hope we do. Back the genes in

Hard to say maybe with our last pick depending on the players left on the board, if say Liam Hetherton was still on the board I think a tall athletic key forward that can chop out in ruck with high upside that missed most of the season with injury is more need than a medium running defender/ winger.

Rookie depending on list spots?
