Tall def to fwd, medium def to mid, now small def to fwd. Bit full circle really with a few small fwds going back there in years past.

I was pushing for Bowey fwd last year when he was struggling in def. Even just to make room for Lindsay.

Why is Goody reluctant to give Kynan a go? Looks a genuine dog around the contest. Surely he'd be better than Laser Laurie or Chandler? Looks a footballer to me. Might be a bit on the light side, but what else we got? Seems a no brainer to most. Goody doing Goody things i guess. Our F50 is genuinely s*! So may as well put a bunch of dogs down there who can lock it in or at least give a contest. Johnson, Kynan look the type. Haven't seen enough of Henderson, but i believe he's similar. JVR, Fritta and Koz with a bunch of blokes that will compete hard. I don't know. Problem is we don't have a heap of talent in that area of the ground unfortunately. So we're just rotating duds and backmen through there and hoping something sticks.

Didn't say anything, was more just the fact that we had Pickett benched for three quarters and Petracca was still basically full-time mid.

They've spoken at length about how bad we were at contest/clearances last year, and that's a fundamental feature of Goodwin's game plan. He'll be playing midfield alongside Oliver and Viney.

In poking fun at the Ye Olde bombs into F50 it was happening quite a bit still.

As good as Oliver looked I couldn't help but notice 2-3 centre clearances where he summed up his options then chose to bomb the ball to 20m out as if that was the only viable option available to him. If he feels there is not option available but to send the ball directly into the F50, I wish he would just hit a low ball to 30-40 out. Surely the forwards can be instructed that in the scenario that Oliver is going to send it forward from a clearance that they get front spot and lead towards the ball carrier. I'd rather turn the ball over having at least given our forwards a chance than bomb it to a guaranteed outnumber.
