Recruiting Max probably means MCL losing both Oscar and Lando as I can't imagine either of them wanting to play second fiddle and Max isn't going there if he's clearly not #1.

Having said that, the balancing act they're currently trying to play by having two #1 drivers is unsustainable and will end in tears so they're bound to lose one of them anyway in the not-too-distant future.

Can see Lando imploding if another aussie steels his thunder.
Bad enough that DR beat him too a 1st win but Oscar winning the DC would see him melt.

What makes you think Lando cares about Australia ?

Lando would be upset that his teammate beat him. No need to bring country into it to create some weird victim complex. Lando isn't into cricket I don't think, so its unlikely he cares about Australia.

I'd hate to have heard that comms box if the McLarens were the other way around in Canada.

I know UK bias is to be expected from the Sky commentary team, but even in Canada all they talked about was Lando even with Russell having a great weekend and taking the win.

It's bizarre.

I took it as they were talking Lando up and OP to be the one to lose out.

It was also mentioned that one of them ( not Davidson) had asked OP if he was concerned about his car having Mercedes engine issues after the Aston and Williams issues this far.

To me thats not incidental converstations...its intentional
