Is Lando's mom at this one again ?

She's the one with camera control, trying to pick out the best spots for later.

Also, good to see Oli having a good P1.

Lando looking like he’s got more one lap speed and overall stint speed at the moment after P2. Hopefully Oscar can find a bit extra for quali and the race.
He usually does.

When you know youve got a pace advantage you can afford to build into it

Piastri normally builds into the weekend.

Never read to much into practice, last weekend Piastri was half a second faster then Lando during sprint qualifying then got beat in race qualifying.

Have a look in the F1 App at Lawrence B’s analysis of times and he is suggesting Oscar had time up his sleeve

In the 000’s of seconds

He's already making mistakes and inexplicably almost took Oscar out at Turn 1 in FP2.
Rain predicted and Lando will again be found wanting.
I think that Lando is cheery and almost okay with making mistakes at this stage of the season just before the summer break. I think that closer and closer to the pointy end of the season he’ll either step up and eliminate the mistakes, or let the mistakes get to him as the consequences get more severe.

I know what is more likely, and what I’d prefer to see happen.

The more Sunday rain that occurs the worse it is for Lando. The less chaos the better.

not so much pro british but how stupid was the chick talking about LAndo behind OP in the WDC that only 1 DNF to OP would bring LAndo right back into play.

I wont even get started on the Pommy tart who brought it up - but no shit Sherlock - of course a DNF would make it closer.

The standard of discussion sometimes is just bewildering to me.

There are some great female in the coverage - Bernie is awesome - but this one just lost me.

I'll be honest, when Toto said it, in the context of the 2021 season, it was fightin' words.

Completely different when the WDC fight is within the same team.

Had the practice session on in the background and wasn't paying it my full attention so don't know the discussion or the host your referencing.

I did note that British LeMans driver Jamie Chadwick is in the Sky broadcast team for this race and I rate her comments and knowledge very highly. She knows a lot about driving and does her homework and imho has been an excellent addition to the Sky team this year.

As an aside I flicked over to watch a replay of the Formula E race from London this afternoon and old mate Chandhok was commentating. Chandhok's droning voice and those droning electric motors are a match made in Hell. 😱. Plenty of action on track but it just doesn't compensate for that horrible noise the cars make imho.

never understood why they start qualy, one hour later than the race start time. I'd have thought the drivers would want to have qualifying and race conditions be as close as possible, including the time of the day, position of the sun, etc

Ideally it means both sessions end at roughly the same time on Saturday/Sunday, which is also the last thing on track before people leave. I can't think of a better reason, it's not like they want time to work on cars after FP3 because its parc ferme anyway.

I'd like to think Oscar's holding something in reserve....tired of Lando getting too much info from his data...and he'll unleash in Quali.

Feels a bit like Crofty has gone too far in the other direction regarding Lando and is becoming a bit defeatist. The closing comments for FP3 with Ant seem like quali is a foregone conclusion with Oscar ahead.
Its always felt like if oscar is quicker in practice than he will out qualify lando which might have been the case last year but this years been more of a mixed bag.

Whoever doesn't feel the pinch in q3 will be pole.

Is Oscar racing this weekend?

Never see the guy on the Sky feed. In typical fashion, the guy leading the championship gets zero exposure.

TWO separate ads for incontinence pads in the same ad break. Different brands. Foxtel is on another level.
Sounds like they're taking the piss

these guys just had a 3 week break, why do they need another 4 weeks after racing for just 2?
I would say the previous break was poor scheduling however this upcoming break is the annual summer break
