Carlton were tough. Kept the score board eventually.So proud for the whole club.

I actually think he's a great coach.
We just have to keep improving the list year by year and he'll lead.

He’s got a star team in waiting on his hands. I love our toughness and desperation .
Got home late, made an effort to not know the score/result…
Great win from the girls, once again they applied themselves from the start of the match with great pressure for the entire game…
Great performance finishing off the match running over the top of them, had a great crack throughout the game, our pressure 1%’s and workrate kept us in the game…
Don’t like bagging the umpires in general but the entire year across all games are seriously F’kn amateur hour, how is it that the simple rules of the game cannot be simply adjudicated at this level, VFL reserves isn’t far behind, it’s flipping up the game…
It’s quite frustrating…

Few not giving him a chance after last year, wanted him gone, assuming that’s far from the case…
The backline was calling her footy nous, has been brilliant playing down there from last year and this…
She’s a natural…
Not sure if we’re a GF chance, most likely not but we could have the potential to make it into a preliminary if all goes well
Not quite the superstar yet, absolutely has all the attributes just needs to create it consistently

Several of the players mentioned the High Performance team who helped them with fitness to be able both to back up after a 5 day break, and to be able to run games out. But credit also to the players for listening, and putting in the hard work.

I think teams might be sitting on her now. She's just so good, and so important with her link up play and delivery into the forward line. Not to mention her own ability to hit the scoreboard. Harder to do that last week with her playing as much inside as outside.
But if they do that, it just frees up the others, like Ronnie, who was a star tonight.
Abbie and Mim getting through this game - and playing well - is a real boost heading into the finals too.
I think the list management team deserve some credit as well. Adding 2 experienced talls, one at each end in Bohanna and Cordner has made a huuuuge difference, and I'm sure has helped the the younger girls no end.
This team's definitely a fun watch

Agreed. Something I love about our women’s team is the spread of talent. We have plenty of good players but we don’t really rely on any individual superstars to win - there is a spread of talent and a system that delivers.
Hopefully this is what happens with the men in 2026 too - the W team is sort of the opposite to what’s been happening there recently.
