There's several players from that game that I never want to see in a CFC jumper again.
Sadly, that won't happen but it should.

Doc has been a great servant but despite stats, the game has past him.

Cerra, 1 kick in the first half. OOF! FFS!

Saad, again, the game has passed him.

Several more just not up to the level
Cripps, Charlie? and Weitering playing injured?

The one glaring certainty from that game is that our two most important players weren't out there, Walsh for midfield skill when he's fit, and Harry for a link up presence.

I'm sure someone's already mentioned it but seeing Charlie squirting Alir and Esava with a water bottle when we were already getting thrashed at the start of the game shows where his head is at... Try getting the ball and maybe kicking a goal? Really disappointed by many of the senior players at the club, don't know where to start really

We have improved some stats, however none of them are having a positive cumulative effect on our win/loss.

Or please point out to me how they've contributed positively to results?

The whole club is stuffed - football department, board, player are
worst in the league - and have been for over 25 years.

Having just watched Voss' press conference I think he handled it just fine considering the circumstances. Whatever is said behind closed doors is more important. Nothing that he says publicly will ever placate fans.

I disagree. By following the same script again and protecting his staff and team he's signaling that nothing will change.

There's something admirable in it but it won't be to his ultimate benefit unless the players reflect and decide to pull together for him. I don't see that happening.

I'm not advocating for blood letting in public either, just asking for an acknowledgement that change is necessary and that he believes he's the person to do it.

Well it will start with pissing off that fraud HOF we have.

Then, once Voss is sacked, the next coach + assistants.

Then list management team needs to be addressed so the list can be rebuilt properly.

Get the right people in these positions and then things will turn. Won't happen overnight, prepare for years of pain, but it must be done.

Can't hang onto these overpaid pretenders and hope that they come good. They're not up to it.

Wow - all of a sudden Carlton has improved in some stats - ask yourself which stats have gone backwards exactly? - easy to look up - maybe they will tell you something about the players -go on doesn't take too much effort to do it.

He was asked whether he believed he was the man for the job and he said that he was the call for change etc probably isnt his call to make publicly at this point.

I’ve not cared for a while this season but was actually surprised at the lack of fire after the week that was.

Coaching staff has to go but I hope that a few players are shown the door too. There is something in the playing group that’s not quite right and needs to be cut out.

We need the right coach, coaching assistants, recruiters and players with the mentality to give their all. A team of JSOS’ would win a premiership on will alone. Him and a couple more have the John Wick mentality.

The rest are just there for the pay check. Cerra is a shadow of himself since getting the contract, total merc unfortunately.

Seriously people need to watch and consume as much as they can re Green bay and Ron Wolf coming in. It's incredibly similar...

Great club became woeful coach recycling board thinking they could tell the coach / fitness staff how to do their jobs. Took an incredible turnaround which started with Ron Wolf coming in and setting the boundary. You're the board. You don't tell me who to draft and you don't tell my coach how to coach and who to start/bench. Etc

I'm doing work with the West Tigers - sort of - exactly the same there. Directors and board members there to throwback to their high school glory days and circle jerk. Takes a lot to clean them out. They hang on like nothing else.

Look at woody Johnson and the New York Jets. Jerry Jones and the cowboys. Money money money. Ego. And in both cases utterly useless. One much worse than the other.

It comes from the top. A well run club has strong separation between the layers of board and footy department. But also doesn't keep a yes man like Lloyd around either....

The only thing I agree with you is the overpaid pretenders bit- that has been obvious for over a year now - at least in your criticism of the coach you at least understand he is working with a really really badly structured list and a bunch of assistants he didn't even get to choose and a list he inherited.

Genuinely feel for you guys. You are at a line in the sand moment and that gets dished out.

I expect this will mean little to you, but I remember going to a Pies game against the Suns at the G in 2021. I think that was my lowest point as a Pies supporter. We were horrendous.

But it is never as bad as you think. You look at things and think it will take a 4-5 year rebuild. The reality is that 2 years ago you were in a prelim. You are only a few smart decisions away from being in the mix again. We were on that position and made a good decision. You have the person in charge who made our good decision and has a history of making those good decisions.

Defo not captain material. But was thinking the same thing. Was horrific tonight. However the fact I have had serious wants about trading most on the list in differing orders of priority this season, from Cripps down does suggest its a pretty toxic playing environment.
If they can all turn to sh*t so easily then they must be able to turn it around just the same. We just need a sound coach, tweak the nips of the list and new coach releases the shackles of the playing group.

I agree with you that there are list holes that need addressing and also players that need to be moved on. My only question to you would be do you think the current coaching group is getting the absolute maximum out of the current list we have?

Nothing he says to the public will suffice. The poor bloke is on a hiding to nothing. The players have let him dons badly. The captain, as much as I love hm, sadly is one of the main offenders, as he was with Teague and Bolton before that. I think we need to let him. Best for him and best for the club. The rest of them, as pitiful as the likes of Weitering, Curnow, Walsh and McKay have been for weeks, are younger and still have very good years of football ahead of them.
