If this doesn't motivate Carlton nothing will ...

Collingwood will win another Premiership this season and lead the list with 17 flags come September 2025

Collingwood are playing the best footy by far with Daylight to the next best.
The standard is low this season which is good for the only standout. Please ... NOT Collingwood
They weren't overly great tonight. Doggies for me.

Richmond set up their dynasty around resilient players who reliably delivered a minimum 8/10 performance in Rance, Martin, Cotchin and Riewoldt. You can’t be paying $1.7m to a ruckman who costs you goals by dropping chest marks. I love TDK but you can’t destroy your salary cap on one player.
Agree but we have destroyed it on about 6 players. Let im go and MCKay and inject some players with speed and heart.

Our game is contest and pressure.
Win the stoppage get it forward and lock it in or get it back if it's driven out by the oppo.
When we are able to get this in games we look good and are difficult to stop.
When we don't is When we get exposed on the outside.
There just isn't enough outside speed on our list to alter this greatly.
So we keep doubling down on contest and pressure
Disappointing thing about this game was we got slaughtered at what we r suppose to be really good at and focused on.it was a belting of epic proportions. And things like this in this game is exactly why I think Voss wants pitto in..as an insurance poilcy..a lever he can pull.
yes yes yes I hear everyone going on about hes not mobile he doesn't get enough of the ball around the ground..dont think this concerns Voss cause if we ain't getting it done at stoppages the rest don't matter. And for all his faults pitto has been dam good at the stoppage game.

I’ve been fluctuating between keeping TDK or not but today just outlined that he NEEDS to go was monstered by a hack of a ruckman. We desperately need that pick he ain’t worth anything near 1.7

Very very poor.
I agree for the most part but Reilly is actually a pretty decent ruckman. Won Crows best and fairest and I believe was the highest paid player at 1 stage. But that just proves the point paying ruckman big dollars is not a smart move. Freo and Pies can atest to that.

One more note on this game. How dare you frauds dishonour the great Peter Bosustow like that! Care factor, obviously zero.

He’s contracted til the end of 2027! We seem to brimming with wingers in this team and I’m not sure why. He’s had one good game this year and it’s not good enough for a senior player
Did Cotters get dropped or was it injury? He doesnt get it a stack of times but he knows how to setup play and has the skills to execute. Ollie & Cotters, or Walsh & Cotters on the wings for me.

I think Acres should be tried as a defender, a bit risky with his disposal but he is good overhead.

I'm in Italy at the moment so thankfully I missed the predicted annihilation. But can anyone give me a rundown of Voss' presser. I'm sure it was was about moments...
Nothing about moments actually. In summary he said we were beaten around the ball the whole game.

We were too soft, definitely not al dente.

TBH, I dont think a flag is enough motivation for our boys after the effort yesterday. Okay, Adelaide is our bogey team, + excuses, + stats, ad nauseum.

The fact is we are not a side full of young players (we have a couple) who are learning and get tired, and a few injuries doesn't dictate effort like that across the board.

Our inconsistency and players who dont play their roles is what kills us.

The fact is Cripps an Weiters, and Charlie should be able to have the odd bad game and others step up. Hewett & Ollie’s effort is there every week, but Walsh is obviously playing with a bad back, and we have so many who cant get it done, through injury, form, age or being played out of position that its rare we are all on the same page.

Spot on observation. The coaching staff knew they were playing Adelaide in Adelaide Iwhen fixture came up in November last year. Adelaide is our trouble team. Seems that coaches plan a week out and hope for the best. No sense of let's try something different. No magnets moved in game. Saints another side we struggle with, coaching team has no clue
Think it was during 3Q…Voss was on the bench furiously moving magnets around…Didnt look like he was solving the puzzle 🧩

Acres- Dispossl is B Grade at best
Doc- Been a warrior but is embarrassing himself now
Young- Shits himself in defence
Gov- conditional footballer who shits himself also
Harry- Stark contrast to last week

Summary- Too many conditional players who know that their position in the team is safe
Sometimes I think you need to make a statement and this week is it…

We need to stop using this as an excuse …if he has a bad back and it is not fixable he should retire.

Walsh is mostly touted as having a good game when the team and Cripps dominate.

I am yet to see Walsh turn a game or make us very competitive on his own back.

from day 1 he’s been slowish and physically weak and he doesn’t contribute much towards slick ball transition …he’s been a dump hack kick merchant and how many times have we seen him get HTB?

Gary Ayres medal - played well for a couple of games but again tge whole team was on fire.

The hard part about trading contracted players is they have to agree to the move. If you suggest they seek a trade but it doesn’t get done it leaves you with a disenfranchised player.

I’d be more than happy to trade Harry for Harley Reid but I doubt he agrees to go to West Coast.
Repeat of last year. Midfield was smashed but where were our half forwards? Why weren't they pushing up to put pressure on the Crows players defensive side?

Adelaide choked the corridor every time we had the footy. But for a few glaring exceptions, we obliged and kicked long down the line, into the waiting arms of yet another intercepting Crows defender.

We had no winners, no answers anywhere on the ground.
Their ability to have one defender engage our forward target and stop them from competing in the air while a teammate swooped across to take the intercept mark was impressive.

By contrast their forwards seemingly easily slipped free and had pockets of space to lead into.

They were as impressive as we were poor.

Cotters hurt his ankle at training and missed due to the injury.
Wingers for us:
Acres
O Hollands
Cottrell
L Camporeale
Binns
Walsh/Doc

Seems a bit overbalanced in this position

Horrendous performance. But at this stage, that’s all this is. I’m not writing anything, or anyone off based off this game. Our main issue was that our midfield got smashed for at least 3 quarters, especially in centre bounce. This meant we were unable to get the ball deep into our forward line and lock it in.

As a consequence of that, our backline was under siege all day, and they were having to take higher risks to try get something to happen, leading to turnovers and scores. Just a dirty day all around.

People were complaining about Austin and Voss while we were 0-4, then suddenly went quiet, last week especially, and now everything’s back to being Austin and Voss’ fault. This sort of opportunism doesn’t help anything or anyone. Really surprised by the level of outrage from this game. Shows how fickle of a fanbase we can be. If the same thing happens next week, then I’ll be worried

I would rather lose a game by 70 points by playing kids (even those who aren't killing it at VFL level but have been given an opportunity to step up and maybe change their career fortunes) than lose by 60 points by playing players who over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over DO NOT GAF about the jumper, the history, the members or worst of all, their pride

Let's stop with this RUBBISH about players who aren't ready

Give them the challenge. Give them a block of games. Play them in their correct positions. Allow them to make mistakes

WHAT DAMAGE CAN IT DO THAT WASN'T ALREADY DONE AGAINST RICHMOND?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

Getting smashed by 70 points every week did SPS, Dow, O’Brien etc a world of good, right?
