67 Fantasy points. Folds like origami under pressure.
Yep, lets rate a players game on Fantasy Points :straining:.

Player A - Gets free ball no pressure and no player within 20mt of him all game. 100 Points.
Player B - Gets pressure from every player in area, as soon as he is near the ball, specifically ordered from the opposition coach because the coach rates Player B as the best in the comp. 70 Points.

Yet Yellow Feathers, the expert from Perth rates Player A better.

I see the future and you are not going to be a club recruiter.

Now hurry up, or you will miss your bus home.

That’s a long way to say that you are coping hard

Fair enough. I was sort of close though, that you weren't just casually browsing some stats and he happened to pop up there.

With forwards especially, stats don't always tell the full story, although in this case it's clear Gunston is still playing very well.

Jeremy Cameron is one player some neutrals always assume is in top form due to stats (gets plenty of it and goal/assist numbers stay strong), but at times like this season he is playing pretty badly. I don't think he's even featured in our board's league MVP voting once and is a supposedly superstar of the league.
LOoking at all of the stats. I think he is doing well. Hes a well more rounded player than just a forward

Cameron? Watch him play. His kicking has been really bad and decision making cringeworthy.

I'm not a big CD guy but I heard Hoyne confirm as much, that he wasn't ranked top 100 this season mostly due to his disposal quality.

The goals he's kicking are those regulation snaps around 25-30m out. Field kicking has been dodgy.

27th in score involvements per game after being 3rd, 4th and 4th the previous 3 years.

Jeremy and Tom can’t play kick-to-kick anymore so hitting a target is a tougher task than it once was.

Jack Silvagni is currently a lock for defence in the AA side.

He's not, but he's been brilliant in defense this year. Ball use is fantastic for a KPD.

I'm not sure why this post was given a dislike, do Carlton people hate you too Walshy?

I agree he's been excellent this year in defence, and using the ball well by foot. He was also good as well earlier in the year up forward.

I don't agree that players then can play multiple positions and swing mid game, should be looked unfavorably by AA selectors, in fact, it should be the opposite.

Goals and Assists round 8:

1. Ben King 29 (24/5))/Jack Gunston (20/9)/Riley Thilthorpe (20/9)
4. Jack Higgins 28 (21/7)
5. Taylor Walker 25 (17/8)
6. Nick Larkey 24 (20/4)/Josh Treacy (20/4)/Darcy Fogarty (18/6)/Paul Curtis (18/6)
10. Jeremy Cameron 23 (18/5)/Jamie Elliott (16/7)|
Gunston has wound back the clock.

Looked cooked a couple of years ago.

Poor man's Josh Worrell. ;)

In all seriousness having a good year, but hardly a lock!

Some probably do. Most likely for calling out our actual spuds like Motlop and McGovern for years when others refused to.

Silvagni plays an odd role anyway so unless the Blues managed a miracle run to top 6 from here I doubt he'd be considered. The AA selectors almost never pick players in their first break out seasons. Normally takes you a couple to get noticed and a couple more to get picked.

Worrell is slightly behind Idun and I mean only slightly. Another solid game from Josh and he's in.

Ive got a heap of players close enough tgat a few consistent games abd theyre in

How was James' game today? 3 contested marks. Personally, I think he needs to chilll t.f out which is a detriment on his game. Had a lot of rebound 50s but I don't know the quality of his game, Haven't been through it yet.

Finally clunking marks again which is a positive.
Ball use still iffy but did nail an absolute pearler of a kick in the 3rd quarter.

Seems off. Might be carrying something but he is a shadow of his former self.

I can't see Gawn not being the AA ruck this year. He absolutely monstered Meek today. Haven't seen Meek beaten this badly over a four quarter stretch.

He continues to find plenty of the footy, it's just that it's not always a good thing with how unsure he is now at disposing it.

Less fumbly today but a bit erratic with ball use again.

It's a strange one, becasue by all my metrics he's outscoring most other defenders, so perhaps he's getting a lot more of the stats not overly relative to defensive work which is sometimes hard to quantify. Kind of like my results for Jezza. I mean those stats count but aren't as impactful in their respective positions. I'm thinking Kozzie in the midfield might increase his numbers but up forward he may not be as impactful despite the satas showing otherwise.

I'm already considering some changes for next season being a reduction in E.D and something around M.G as a better means of measuring efficiency of disposal.

To be fair too, I'm not a fan of Sicily at all, so having him up there isn't making me happy.
