I think this is the first time I've had so many players from the one team in the top 10 (well, 12, but still). Shows how good Adelaide's forward line has been this year.

Gee, that's super impressive with Adelaide's Riley Thilthorpe 16/8, Taylor Walker 14/7, Darcy Fogarty 16/5 and Ben Keays 12/6 all in the top 10 for combined goals and goal assists but the amount of combined goal assists by all FOUR is ultra impressive and a sure sign of an excellent, unselfish and sharing/caring forward line, takes me back to Geelong's golden era with the likes of Stevie J, Cam Mooney, etc.

Butters is a certainty if he stays uninjured. Is young gun so will always play damn good footy when fit.

The flashy guys down back get plaudits. The workhorses get nothing.

This backline would get slaughtered in a real game.
But your dour back pockets and KPD stoppers who get 5 touches are invisible.

Idun - Weitering - Houston
Dale - Taylor - Blakey

Would probably be my pick of a backline if I were actually wanting the best backline I could think of across the league. But players like Idun don't tend to get the plaudits they deserve. Blakey has a decent mix of offense and defense, Houston the same. Dale imo the best user out of the backline in the league.

Probably have a pure lockdown like Starcevic as the rotation.

Putting my hand up to say I don’t watch enough of all 18 teams consistently enough to really judge this fairly but I’ve watched a lot of Carlton games and Weitering would be my first pick but given how much I’ve watched of him and my obvious personal bias I would, based on the last two seasons (this isn’t an AA post just a ‘the team I would pick if putting a team together to play a game’ post) make sure Zac Guthrie is in there somewhere. He’s been the best defender in a team that’s made a preliminary final and is currently 4-2 and was runner up in our BF last year, he’s gone past Tom Stewart as the general in our defence for the time being. Is absolutely rock solid.

Zuthrie is a very good shout. Would fit into any team in the comp and plays multiple roles each week to cover Stewart shifting around. Not sure I'd take him ahead of the Lizard or Houston but he'd definitely be in the mix, would love a player like him at the Blues.

You have no idea which coach gives which player votes. You would like to think you do. Strange that the media seem to bite the same way, oh the umps seem to like Daics as well. Strange pattern emerging.
