He’s the number one interceptor in the league in a team that finished a game clear on top and had a top 2 defense, of course it’s ridiculous he missed. Battle is a good player no doubt, but there was clearly a better option this year.

holmes had a better year than smith for mine. think the media and selectors got seduced a bit by the story of smith.

im much more concerned about holmes for the qualifier than i am for smith.

Holmes has played the equivalent of 3 finals (two full games and injured in two others).

2022 prelim - BOG before injury
2024 QF - clear BOG
2024 prelim - BOG before injury.

Big game player for sure.
