Ben should try getting a disposal further than 50m from goal. Averaged 5 kicks per game and 4.4 shots per game lmao. Good player but definition of the beneficiary of work up the field.

In all seriousness, there should be an instant dismissal of all selectors for choosing Cameron as captain over the 4 actual captains.

They have made a mockery of the role as captain.

It's a very ordinary selection panel & most have less idea than the average punter.

richards is competing with far more competitive vote pollers for AFLCA votes within his side than daicos is.

the leigh matthews trophy is a bit of a nothing award - most players arent watching neutral games in their spare time

I don't think Bevo was cooking the AFLCA votes for Richards like Fly and his panel were for Nick either lol. It would have been fine if Nick was on the field, it is fine that he is on the bench.

Even his defensive work is about the same with a contest win % of 18.8 this year vs 18.5 last year.

Pretty much doubled his coaches votes from 24 to 25.

In Geelong’s 4 games at the MCG plus one match down the road at Docklands he kicked as many as Richmond’s leading goalkicker for the season

Battle is the major reason why. Barrass is the other reason.

Again.. that is why he was in the squad.

Worrell and Keane have been part of a defence that has conceded 62 points a game since round 5. Both deserve the spot over Battle

It's ok, no one takes the AA seriously anymore and not just after last night. It's a home and away award controlled by Kane Cornes.
The concept has become farcical besides that when you look at some of the players that have got in multiple times.

So you're either pretending to have not heard of him, or you only watch your own team. I'm not sure what's worse.

watched plenty of adelaide games. nick smith at the swans about 15 years ago was a very quite unobtrusive player; so is brodie smith. not a headline player. not everyone lives in the village of 'Radelaide'.

like most full forwards in the 90s. he's a lethal weapon, thats how they play. seems to work for them.

Battle was hardly beaten all year. There is more to being a defender than possessions or intercept marks. Just a week ago he kept Logan Morris to 6 touches and 1.1.


I Actuallt think they did a pretty good job this year. Arguing one player over another is fine but they picked for positions for a change. They actually picked a winger in Clug too, although I would have liked to have had Holmes on the other wing but which mid makes way?

Def: Taylor and Andrews the best key backs. Battle the best utility defender/back pocket. Nas, Dale and Clark the best, most damaging flankers.

Fwd: Jezza and Filthy the best key forwards. Gunston the best mid sized forward. Kosi the best small forward and Heeney and Bailey the best forward/mids.

No more squeezing pure mids into forward or defence.

No issue with Jezza being captain, he's been pretty dominant. No doubt it helps the jumper he is wearing though!

The most laughable nod of the week though surely has to be the best young player going to a 28 year old!!!

I do. One or two questionable selections each year doesnt make it farcical. It means that there are a lot of opinions, most that dont matter, with only 22 positions available.

Yes, Cornes is a ****. However, i cant see him standing over anyone, directly or indirectly!

Im sure if each selector gave their own team, we'd all find a selection or two we dont agree with!
