Lachie Ash for $555k or bite the bullet and pay up for Whitfield? Would complete my defence so it's a question of whether I can afford to go the rest of the year without the likely number 1 ranked defender.

Bite the bullet and pay up for Whitfield because you’re going to have to get him at some stage anyway

Gone different and even with teams this afternoon*, I'll think I'll stick

Leaves 18 trades plus 133k and Prior/Gross*/Visentini to cull to improve Hall firstly then Reid

Again, Helmet/Rivers to be looked at during byes PENDING carnage like last week 🙃

Any further word on JHF injury? Sounds like not as bad as expected & potentially only missing 1?

This Simpson kent better be good. Sick of these one price rise rookies
Agreed, hence why I am steering clear. Might be a bad move but burnt way too many times this season.

Whereas it's probably the reason I'm taking him – we desperately need some players generating cash. It's a risk either way though.

100% and tbh I'd probably bring him in if I had boosts left.

$228k in the bank, 15 trades and 0 boosts.

Holding Macrae and cashing in JHF this week with the view to bringing him back once price drops. Hewett also being shown the door - tempted to hold and trade a dead rook instead given the state of my bench, but with cash gen in dire straits I can't accept a leaking rook. Likely slip out of top 1k this week but thinking about bye structures. Had Dawson in my side all week but have pivoted to Rowell to manage this and build bank. Looking forward, tempted to use Macrae's cash and some prime rooks to move into Bont/Butters post-bye afterwards as once JHF is back, he will complete my forward line.

Hoping Trainor can hit 70+ tonight so I can loop via Stone & DPP magic. Do not like the idea of fielding both Cleary & Simpson.

I've gone with this and the plan is to Roughie back one or both of Macrae and JHF (more likely) when we see how they're going when they return (still have 18 trades), given the thin forward stocks. Chose Dunkley over Dawson and Neale based on BEs. I've been burned before on Bolton, but gee he looked good last week - I didn't realise he'd gone so big until I did this trade, though.

You could move Stone to DEF, Sinclair to MID, Maric to FWD.

This means you have Fonti on field and can loop him with out if Trainor scores well via Stone. Also means you will only field one of Cleary & Simpson and loop the other with Macrae if that makes sense

Had concocted a crazy loop scheme but this is much simpler in my eyes. Thanks mate!

This week:
Callaghan to Sinclair
JHF to Bolton
Cleary to Simpson

$288k leftover.

Next week:
Reid to Stewart
Trainor to Coleman*
Lindsey to Heeney/Merrett/Serong/Newcombe.

*May need to rethink this one.

What are everyone's thoughts on Isaac Heeney, is he back?

Who would you choose ... Heeney or Rowell (+ cash)

Did Macrae fly back or drive back?

At this stage, one sideways, one cash cow

Macrae & Hayes
To
Simpson and Warner

Can't bring myself to get Jackson or Bolton. Just know they won't
im out back up GIF by Robert E Blackmon

Current trades are

Kako>Simpson
JHF>Dawson

Leaves me below.

Have a couple of boosts and $75k if anyone has some other ideas?View attachment 2322718
With the cash left in the bank, I'd be tempted to clear off one of your dead rookies ahead of Kako. At least Kako is playing and will likely continue to do so over the byes - might drop a bit of cash this week, but even if he goes at 50 over the next three weeks, he'll make back the minimal cash he drops. Worth it for the extra warm body IMO.

I’ve seen the arguments for, but I simply can’t understand the Bolton move. Reckon there’s gonna be a world of pain coming for that 10%
Worst case scenario he’s your F6, flex or 24th player covering 2 lines averaging a rollercoaster 90.

Take out his score of 5 and he is averaging 101 which already puts him in the best 6 forwards.

Plus the midfield roll change could see him ascend. Champion data said he has been the most effective player in the league when playing midfield.
