This is correct.

You can move players around until there game starts so it doesn’t matter if Boyd doesn’t have the C straight away.

You haven’t stuffed up.

If you’re happy with Bont score bring Boyd on and make him captain just don’t forget to put the Emergency on Xerri when you bench him.

VC Xerri/Daicos, C Dawson

or

VC Dawson, C Trac/Sinclair/Rowell

no confidence in either option... (eg. Dawson could go 150 as easily as he could go 60)

It'll be a last minute decision on Saturday night it seems.

Finally! Feels like an eternity since I hit on a VC... Zerrett against bottom teams is always worth a throw at the stumps though.

He probably won't even be a consideration until Rd-18 when they take on the Tigers again.
