Who would I add to this side for $538k or less (Flex position open so can be anything)?

Thinking a forward to clean out some of that trash, but options aren’t awesome. Macrae, JHF big BEs, Baker with a Bye to come, Kennedy lukewarm. Something else?

I went for Meek, has the bye next week if it's an issue, and is up against ROB and Xerri in the next 2, but a $450k player in flex who throws out a 120+ every 3 or 4 games seems good value over the longer term.

It's a decent shout.

99 average for sub $450k - that's good!
Has rolled out some stinkers this year (a 43, a 56) - that's bad!
I think at least one of those was due to an injury, from which he's recovered - that's good!
But he also has flamed out against top rucks - that's bad!
Has a very low breakeven - that's good!
Has all the tough opponents and none of the hacks to come - that's bad!
Punched out over 100ppg last year - that's good!
Has the Bye next week - that's bad!
I have great coverage for next week's Bye already - that's good!
Putting a straight ruck in Flex limits flexibility - that's bad!
But CD's scoring appears broken in favour of rucks - that's good!
I only have a few hours to decide - that's bad!

I'm not sure this is helping...

If in doubt, pull out!

I know everyone's jumping on Butters- but is there a reason I shouldn't take Tom Green instead of him? (other than fact GWS still have bye to come of course)

Bye - advantage Butters
Ceiling - advantage Butters
Price - a wash
This year's average - advantage Butters
110+ seasons - advantage Butters

I rate Green very highly, I don't see an argument for Green over Butters this week, other than a hunch or play against the crowd. I wish I could get Butters, but I'd have to really pull my team apart to do it so I'll just have to watch him and hope he doesn't go too nuts.

Any thoughts on who'll be the Carlton SUB?

Usually one of the small forwards. We pick 5 of them because 0 of them are good enough for AFL so we're hoping quantity over quality. As a wild guess, Orazio. They will all be hoping to fill their boots against Wet Toast.

Cheers, will HOLD Carroll and TRADE Gray

I thought of doing a Lindsay > Johnson, Hustwaite > Jackson and Gray > McKercher 3 way but with Hustwaite named that is off.

Probably a good thing as that 3 way trade would have taken me down to 6 trades, now I will probably just do Lindsay > Johnson.

That will leave me with 21 starters for this round and 8 trades left which will be better than having 22 starters and 6 trades left.

I've talked myself into another trade now, switching Rozee back into defence for Roberts and then trading him to Butters.

It won't get me any more starting players this round but I get a must have mid premo and Rozee on field instead of Fonti

That will leave me with just 7 trades but my team is pretty much complete if Phillipou returns and plays like a mid premo.

If it's a forward at your price Bolton if you're brave freo have a good run. Or Chad post bye.

Brought Bolton in for JHF a few weeks ago.

Now they'll be active simultaneously it could end up a tough watch, or a master-stroke.

Got a 73 and a 100 out of Bolton in JHF's absence which is.... okay I guess.

Ideally I want to keep Bolton in my flex position. Feel as though it's a perfect spot for a player who generally plays a big spike game once every 3-4 weeks.

I got hankering for frogurt for some reason.

I'm really scraping the barrel here but this will give me 22/23 premos and leave me with 8 trades and 1 boost

Instead of sideways-ing Neale to Butters I’ve decided to go Carroll to Colby instead. Praying to god that role sticks, interview with Drew Jones yesterday convinced me enough it sticks for a while at least

Was going to go Moraes to Jackson, but with Moraes dropped is it worth holding him for a better rook?

… Or instead bring back Clay. :p

It’s a fire sale come and get your dubious commodities you hope will act like semi-premos for the rest of the season! - McKercher, Bergman, Caldwell, Stewart, Serong, and many more!
