The crowd for this match will be interesting. The highest attendance we have ever got for a Gold Coast match at Giants Stadium was 8,308 in 2016, which incidentally was our first ever match against Gold Coast at GS. The average attendance from the 6 Gold Coast matches at Giants Stadium is 7,178, and our lowest crowd this season at GS has been 8,092 vs Fremantle.

However I am being optimistic and hoping for a 10k crowd with this being a Recruits game, and the club having various promotions and food deals to encourage attendance.

Temper expectations - any Sunday day game is up against junior footy. Historically it seems to be up to a 2k hit on any given matchup.

I will be there!! My first Giants game in Sydney! I’m honestly so excited, can’t wait.

Flying in Sunday morning, and out Sunday night. Weather looks nice, game on paper is a cracker, let’s hope for a good game of footy and a win!

A few interesting tidbits from Kingsley's presser today:
  • Toby Greene is fully recovered from the glute cork, was close last week but didn't quite get up.
  • Stringer is ready to go (Although I still don't see how we fit him into the team, other than as sub)
  • Kingsley is very confident we'll have Cogs back after the bye
  • Daniels' injury ISN'T the same as the one he had before. He just has an adductor strain, so could hope to see him back in not too long

Angwin gets a look. More running power, or maybe sub.
Delana out.

From that I would assume that we're moving Himmelberg back into defence.

Angwin is a pure winger so I can't think of any other reason we'd be bringing him in. Stringer surely has to be sub or we would be ridiculously tall up forward.

I think so. Stringer to return as the sub after a long layoff.

Cogs will be a massive in for the run home if they play him through the middle. Has been behind Green & Briggs in clearances. His shoulder should be sweet now give.

Stringer is named on the field. The sub has to come from the named bench.
Maybe Riccardi?
Any chance Cads or Hogan can play as a HFF?
Maybe Stringer is going to play a fair bit as a midfielder?
I am a bit confused, but hopefully it works out well.

Riccardi won’t be sub given he is rucking about 35% of games with Madden in the side. Looking like Angwin the sub.

Hopefully bringing in another forward in Stinger doesn’t impact Cadman too much. And Brown been in great form too.

Stringer did generate 3 shots on goal per game which isn’t bad at all given finding his feet/sub/injury.

Angwin sub, HH to shift back into the defensive rotation, Toby to play midfield with Snooze playing HFF (tagging Rioli).

Still possible that stringer starts sub and angwin plays wing. Positions named Thursday/Friday night mean nothing and there is no obligation to pick sub from those named on bench

A huge game for us against a finals contender, with the market essentially split 50-50. Win and we will go to the bye just 1 win (and %) from 3rd place, and in strong contention for a top 4 finish given the games we have left. Lose, and for the first time this year we will be out of the top 8 after the end of the round, given the expected mauling of Richmond by the Bulldogs on Sunday evening.
