And our record of never losing to Gold Coast at Giants Stadium (7 now and counting!) still stands. Our best head to head record in history is against Gold Coast, and we still continue to have their measure. This win could be the reason Gold Coast don’t make their inaugural finals appearance!

Great crowd of 10,504. The highest attended home match against Gold Coast. This was the first time that a gold coast match at Giants Stadium ever got a crowd of more than 10k. It also beat the previous 10,026 crowd record for a Gold Coast match at Manuka.

I was way off with my negative take. Full credit to the boys. After a very slow start they embraced the grind and ran over them.
Geez it’d be nice to get an even run in the free kicks.
A cracking game to watch and some awesome goals. Credit to the coaches for playing the game the right way.

Hats off to the club and their promotion for this game. My section had several people watching their first ever game. They became more excited and invested as the game went on.
15 minutes before the bounce the crowd was very sparse. Then as the pre game entertainment wound up and those delayed by traffic started to flow in. 10k of 95% GWS supporters definitely feels nice.
Special mention to the 12 year old kid who was dressed head to toe in Swans gear and booed every Giants goal. He slunk off in the final 5 minutes.

What was the crowd?

Don't forget, we did it without Sam Taylor.

We had no right to win that game - Suns dominated clearances and inside 50s. Not uncommon for us to be dominated on the stats sheet but still pull off with a win, a reason why we’re still in the top 8.

Now the thing with counting stats (like clearnaces or cont. possessions) is that you get a bath for a short period and then break even for the majoirty of the game. The end result looks bad, but it can be just a bad quarter or a bad 15 minutes. last quarter we killed them and put it on the board ... that's why we deserve to be the winners

My son absolutely despises Angwin ... cursed when he was named for this game ... yet admitted that he actually had a decent game and did some good things.

He works his butt off and does a lot of little things but let's himself down with a lack of polish from time to time.
The dropped marklate in third is a good example.
I reckon he'll get a tick from the coaches
