Shaping as a tougher decision this week, as Richmond and West Coast are playing each other, leaving some harder matchups for the popular premos:

• Bont/Richards away vs Brisbane
• Butters in Tas vs Hawthorn
• Gawn vs the Pitto/TDK duo
• Dawson vs Gold Coast
• Noah/Rowell away vs Adelaide
• Daicos at home vs Freo (Wagner tag?)
• Brayshaw/Serong/Jackson away vs Pies
• Holmes/Baz with possible Windy tag
• Any Saints premo playing down at Tax Rort Stadium

Reckon if you own a Giants premo (Green, Whit, Finn), you could be on for a big one on Thursday night.

Those with Grundy are likely to bank a 350+ captaincy score with Xerri almost certainly missing for North.

Second half of the season has definitely been a bit kinder, but I'm still pretty undecided on this week. Bont VC is the most likely at this stage (Whitfield tempting, but Essendon is going to find it difficult to get the ball in their forward half at any stage tonight, lol).

I’ve only taken one of my last 10 VC scores which is outrageous. It’s fair to say as nerve wracking as that has been I’ve been saved by my captain week in week out. Don’t want to be making a habit of it!

Are defenders like Whitfield on the dominant team stuck in Siberia in the backline and not scoring any points, or are they pushing up and intercepting, controlling the play, driving it into forward 50 for goal assists, etc? The GWS share of the pie should be enormous, but he's probably not taking a million kick ins.

It's a combination, really. But the likely lack of kick-ins is the detractor for me at the moment, given that they now play though both Whitfield and Ash.

Luckily Whitfield plays higher up the ground, I am really torn.

Can see myself putting the VC on him late.

Jordan Clarke's last 2 scores against the Pies interest me, 146 (earlier this year) and 134. Both of the games were at Optus but still, tempting. Not sure if I have the cojones to throw the C on him, but depending on how my round is going might be worth a hail Mary.
