Round 2 in Poetry

The rookies from all over came,
With a price so low, they hailed their name,
"Get Tsatas in your squad!" the pundits cried,
FOS is a gun, his price would rise

But when the game kicked off, what did we see?
Davidson, my goodness me!
Few tackles, some kicks, no points to gain—
We were simply left with Rookie pain.

And those premiums, we trusted so,
They burnt our teams, their scores so low
A big score or two seemed all too late—
Our Supercoach hopes met an early fate.

Lachie burnt us and Sanders too,
Will we ever learn? Trade Round 2
Our anger built, our hand was dealt
The only thing to do was melt

But don’t lose hope, it’s still the start,
The season’s long, so don’t lose heart
With trades in hand, we’ll fix our flaws,
Rebuild our teams, rewrite the laws.

For hope’s not gone, it’s just delayed,
A few good picks and we’ll be saved.
The tide will turn, we’ll rise once more
Supercoach dreams? A massive score

The season’s early, but can we see—
Supercoach hopes? A fantasy

Scoops would like to apologize to any other members of #FlynnNation who may have been distressed or placed in an emotionally vulnerable space by Scoops' use of statistics.
Matthew Flynn is the greatest ruckman in VFL/AFL history and Scoops was wrong.
I have taken his mum around a bouquet of flowers and a cheeky box of the finest Roses chocolates and can only hope that at some stage you will allow me back inside the tent.
Until then, it will be dune runs at 6:00 am for Scoops.

To be fair every time Cerra has played back at AFL level he's been severely underdone coming back from injury. The times I saw him play down there in pre season over the last few years he's actually looked pretty decent. Hopefully doesn't happen on Thursday though, I'd sleep much easier knowing he's playing on ball.

Perryman has DeGoey reentering, had a not great role, we had a couple of young blokes do OK in the midfield.
Feels knee-jerk trading blokes out after 1 round and normally.ends badly, but there a options around the price / lower that look OK.

He's not getting pushed out of the midfield by Long or Sullivan 2 weeks into his career at a new club he moved to for more midfield opportunity. It could even go the other way - if Longy starts getting jobs on oppo big bodied mids, Pez might be freed up to hunt the pill more. We aren't going to play multiple nullifying mids, I wouldn't have thought.

Pez also had to go back as Howe was subbed (which was all about looking after him in a mauling) which put him as the 7th defender rotation

I am going to keep hold of him because I still don't trust what Scott will do with SDK and Freja is a week more watch. I also can see SDK drop a 60 but that probably won't be against the cellar dwellers this week.

Will mean I'll probably miss one of Baz or SDK but dem the SC games we play.

If Flynn is dropped early I have options I can boost and do Flynn to sdk or Tsatas survives a week and I trade Flynn insted.
If Flynn only misses out on game day it will be a boost for Flynn to Lindsay
Either work as I will probably get both players next week anyway

Tom De Koning v Meek as a ruck contest interests me. These two haven't matched up alot in prior encounters. I was having a look at their teams' encounter over the past few years.

De Koning should be one of the top scorers in Supercoach in the match.

Last year Carlton had 3 of the top 4 SC scorers in Rd 22 fixture. But Hawks had top scorers ranking equal 3rd to 15th.
