He isn't a very accurate shot at goal.
Tagging is his best role, but it seems we have done better without him in midfield. Perhaps this week he can be a defensive forward on Blakey.
Yeah well I think your right because he doesn't seem to get much of the ball either, so if he's not tagging in the middle or not getting goals he's going to have to be good for something.

He allows Stringer, Greene, Hogan, Cadman to focus on kicking goals rather than chasing.

Yeah, with such a tall forward line it's vital to have those pressure forwards as well.

With our current setup we really only have Bedford, Jones and Greene who can apply that kind of forward pressure.

But with Taylor passed fit for Friday night and Aleer managing soreness, coach Kingsley admits the latter is unlikely to retain his spot. Aleer will be one of three changes, with star duo Josh Kelly and Jesse Hogan also available after being rested last week.

“Leek didn’t do much today (at training). He was a bit sore, so we’ll assess that again with our medicos,” Kingsley said on Wednesday. “He probably looks unlikely to play at this stage, I would think. It’s going to be a really difficult decision, and a difficult match committee that we’re going to have. Some unlucky guys are going to miss out.”

It’s interesting that Rowston has now dropped below McMullin in the pecking order. I thought Harry had been going pretty well and adding extra grunt to the midfield mix really lifted Tom Green’s form.

I kind of go back and forth on the two but right now I like McMullin a little more. I just think he’s a little more damaging with ball in hand, a little more polished.

Yeah, it looks like we're prioritising Cogs over Rowston. Even if Rowston had played it would've only been as the sub.

I guess the thinking is that McMullin offers more as the sub. I suppose at the very least he's more versatile in that role.

Im not sure if I've mentioned this previously, but I quite like McMullin, I think you nailed it with the more damaging bit.

Rowsten is probably a better clearance, but given Cogs and Kelly are back and are good in that dept, reckon they are looking for a bit more versatilty which McMullin provides.

The lead-up to this match has been so weird. Why are both teams trying so hard to avoid saying anything that might be contentious?
Well we haven’t won one in a while, so they are trying to not antagonise the South. Can tell Jacob has a few in the tank ready to go should the take off the leash.

Spot on. Cogs, green, Callaghan & XO as the primary mids. The other mids are Kelly/angwin/muff on the wings with toby & jones getting small bursts

Of Briggs can continue he recent good form we are a chance of splitting the midfield and if we do that we will win
