Re top 1% trading out Sinclair etc... using him as an example, one could argue he has had his biggest score for year and at 642k, you could trade him for a prem that has underperformed so far and make 150k on the trade which would be the equivalent of an average rookie downgrade, so from a moneyball type perspective it may seem a little less ridiculous...still a risk though as an enantiodromia of the players form may not happen.

Re top 1% trading out Sinclair etc... using him as an example, one could argue he has had his biggest score for year and at 642k, you could trade him for a prem that has underperformed so far and make 150k on the trade which would be the equivalent of an average rookie downgrade, so from a moneyball type perspective it may seem a little less ridiculous...still a risk though as an enantiodromia of the players form may not happen.

An example of where this may work in the coming weeks is Washcroft. There is close to zero chance he is a top 8 mid but in the next 1-2 weeks he can be flipped to players like Dunkley at no $ cost for a single trade. At a guess Dunks will do 115-120 from here and Washcroft prob does 100.

yeah good point although I could see Wanganeen-Milera being the saint to have in def by seasons end

Would def have taken 100 after his 70 in Rd 1 and 30 at HT in Rd 2 vs Eagles.

He's had +16 scaling this yr vs DT and had some big scaling goals and moments, not something that is sustainable imo. Currently doing 95 in fantasy. Has played Eagles and Tigers in first 5 games. Pretty tough for a breakout player who is 4th mid in the rotation to do 110+ all year.

I have him and hope he does 110+ but not expecting it.

I suspect most of the players in the top 1k atm would be kids that have just got lucky so far. I kinda understand the Dawson one with the run coming up but the others are just impulse moves that young kids make. It's sad that 12 year old kids in grade 7 are beating us, but that's supercoach. Just look at the names of some of the teams and you'll understand what I mean. Some are like "Go Richmond" etc. Bloody sad hey?
